A week passed by since my perfect date with Blake and since we found out the actual killer. For seven whole days everybody woke up, aware of who killed Rosalind and could not do anything.
But we weren't sitting all idle. We took this time to create a wicked game. A game that would end with Derek behind the bars. A game that would make him pay for the heinous crime he has committed.
We hadn't completely formed it yet because we barely met each other. This happened because Derek's frequent visits to my house. He would bring his parents along. It was his way to get them out of the house and make sure they don't slip into depression.
There was a little part of me that was happy he still cared about his parents but that part went dark too when I found out he was keeping them sane so that his party goes well. I was appalled by how sadistic this man had gotten. There was a time when I would have defended him against any allegations, but that Derek had been suppressed and his dark side had taken over him.
"It's the perfect plan," Lenny clapped his hands and got up from Jordan's bed.
Yes, we had all gathered at Jordan's. It has become the new hotspot for our meetings considering how Derek practically made my home his second home.
"We say that every time we make one," Brianna rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her watermelon juice. "And yet we manage to screw up."
"Is there a reason for this negativity?" Lenny asked me and I looked at him from the view Jordan's window held.
"Lenny, you promised," I warned him, reminding of one of our conversations of how they will both behave and not taunt each other.
"But she is being unnecessarily negative!" He exclaimed like a little kid.
"She does have a point, doesn't she?" Blake asked him, taking control of the situation. I smiled subconsciously of how he understood I didn't want to be in the middle of this pointless argument. "The one time we did something to retaliate, Valerie ended in the hospital, Jordan in jail and you were kidnapped. Other times when we tried to make an effort, we always ended up in square one."
"Thank you," Brianna said with a victorious smile on her face.
"And not to forget, this isn't a plan. It's a game. We are playing him the same way he has been playing us all along," Jordan said, entering with yet another bowl of freshly made ice cream.
"You know," Kelly said taking a bowl from the tray. "Meeting here is so better than Val's place. We don't have to be afraid of somebody unwanted eavesdropping and we get delicious ice cream!"
