Derek and I booked an Uber and made our way to Brianna Sawyer's home. Brianna had a very cocky personality. She was always irritated and loved to make snarky comments.

Everyone in school found it hard to believe that Rosalind and Brianna were friends. They were they were like north and south pole.

She came to the city and didn't waste another second on adjusting. She started her own YouTube channel and posted covers of various songs that were loved by the people. Brianna knew her crowd.

Soon enough, she got over a thousands of subscribers and was called to open for Demi Lovato. It was a big deal. It was the deal that changed her life forever.

Right now, she had a million fans, two albums released and lived a lavish life. She was the owner of a humongous mansion. I mean, it was a mansion to me. For her, maybe it was just a small apartment.

Of course, Brianna and I didn't talk much after moving to New York, but we texted each other now and then.

I am pretty sure Brianna won't act like Rosalind's death would affect her and be cold. But, I was going to make sure that doesn't happen. She had no right to be so rude to her own deceased friend.

I hated how I started referring Rosalind as deceased. There was a slight feeling of anger in me. I wasn't angry at Rosalind, I was angry at me. That was something that I hid from Derek, something that could have maybe saved her.

As time passed, it was getting more difficult for me to hold on to the calm demeanor. I wanted to cry and scream. But I knew it wouldn't make any difference.

The car halted in front of a big gate. It was high enough for making it almost impossible for anyone to climb. It was guarded by two security officers who were already alerted by our arrival.

They walked towards the car as I paid the driver.

"Excuse me, you cannot enter this mansion. It is not for tourists." One of the guards said.

"We are not tourists. We are here to see Brianna Sawyer." I gritted.

"I'm sorry. But if we start allowing all the fans in, I'm pretty sure the house will be crowded the whole day. Now, bugger off." He spoke and shooed us away.

"Listen up, you asshole. I know you're doing your job but you don't have to be mean about it. We are not Brianna's fans, we are her friends. We need to see her as soon as possible and if you don't open the gates right now, I'll make sure she is soon informed about how you treated us and get fired from whatever agency you belong to." I breathed. I felt so much better now.

The security stared back at me, dumbfounded. Clearly, he underestimated me. All this time Derek was standing close to me, not reacting or speaking.
