"I swear to god, I will murder you if it means I get to do," Brianna threatened me.
"I found you unconscious on the floor because of Derek! Excuse me if I'm worried," I yelled back.
"You almost died getting Jordan out of jail," she said.
I folded my arms and looked at the others. Blake was standing next to me, in the same posture as me. Jordan and Kelly had decided it was better to stay silent and let us have our banter but it was clear on their faces that they wanted to get out of the tensed room for a breather.
"Fine," I sighed. "You have defended me, your highness. Please, accompany us."
Soon after, Brianna's vicious eyes turned soft as she let out a loud laugh.
"Kelly and I have to call our precinct and let them know we would be coming soon, why don't you'll carry on. We will meet you at the car," Blake informed and left with Kelly.
"How are you feeling now?" Jordan asked Brianna as I cleaned the room.
"Much better. Valerie's bed is way more comfortable than the hospital's bed. I mean, it was like sleeping on a rock," she smiled and Jordan let out a forced giggle.
"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," he spoke. "I was just so mad at Derek that everything around me shut down. I didn't mean to cause you harm."
Instead of putting the pillow down, I turned around along with it and creepily looked at the two of my friends talking.
Jordan had never spoken with Brianna in such a tone. It was so foreign, that I couldn't comprehend it either. Because of the guilt, the first thing he did when Brianna was conscious was apologise and he had been apologising to her since.
"Again, Valerie was more hurt when she tried to get you out of jail and you did not apologise to her this much. What's gotten into you?" Brianna popped her brow.
As much as I wanted to intervene, I bit my lower lip to stay quiet and continued to eavesdrop. To make myself look busy, I opened my closet and started adjusting a few of my things.
"No- it's just that I- I mean, I did apologise to Valerie too, but she- I guess you do have a point," Jordan said. "I don't know why I'm apologising this much. It's not like you died."
"Jordan," I finally spoke. "You're not helping yourself."
He awkwardly nodded and then left the room making me guffaw after holding it in for such a long time.
"Men are cute when they are trying to talk about their emotions," I said in between my laughter.
"He is not like this!" Brianna widened her eyes as she walked over to me. "Why did he just pull a Blake?"
"You did not just-"
"I did," she smugly said.
"It feels good, doesn't it?" I asked. "Finally waking up without worrying to arrest Derek."
