"This is a bad idea. I should just leave." Jordan blabbered.
We were currently sitting in Lenny's car which was parked in front of Rosalind's house.
Derek called us and invited the three of us, but Brianna thought that it was a good idea to also let Jordan tag along because it was about time that the McAllister's met the man who saved their daughter's life.
Jordan was a nerve wreck. He was afraid that he would be judged or that they won't like him.
Him acting nervous was only human. No one blamed him. The truth of us that deep down even we were anxious.
"You'll be fine. You got us, man." Lenny patted his back.
"Are you having a panic attack?" I furrowed my brows and asked because his actions indicated that he was having one.
"If shortness of breathe, my heart beating so fast that it will tear through my chest and blurry vision counts as a panic attack, then yes, I am having one." He answered.
"What are you so afraid of?" Brianna questioned.
"I am a part of a biker gang who saved their daughter after she was raped. I am scared of a lot of things." He sarcastically retorted.
"There's no need to be mean." Brianna mumbled under her breathe.
"Look at me." I ordered, sitting on the edge of the backseat. "Focus on your breathing. You have nothing to worry about, okay? You have us and we will make sure that they know that you are an amazing person beneath all the flaws. They'll appreciate you." I tried consoling him.
His breathing evened and he stopped fidgeting with his jacket. Lenny looked at me and flashed me an impressed smile.
Once Jordan had completely calmed down, we all got out of the car.
Lenny rang the doorbell, behind him was me and Brianna standing together and our hands linked together. Jordan who was praying to god to make him invisible was standing the last.
Derek opened the door and his dull face brightened up as he saw our faces. He did a bro shake with Lenny and hugged me and Brianna.
"Jordan?" Derek whispered.
"You know him?" Brianna asked.
"Yeah, Rosalind mentioned him." He answered. "I didn't think you guys knew him."
"We became friends after funeral. He is an amazing guy." I stated, giving Jordan a sweet smile.
"Come in, please." Derek politely invited him in.
Jordan looked almost relieved now.
"Good thing I already made extra lasagna." Mrs. McAllister chirped. "I am so happy everyone arrived early. Now we have time to catch up."
