"Can you drive me to my friend's house?" I pleaded. I just wanted to be with Simon, right then.

"Sure, babe. Where is it?"

"Right in front of my house. Directly across from it."

"On my way." He soothingly stroked the back of my shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Harmony, I do truly wish that I could help you."

"Thanks, but for now, I don't want to think about it." Still teary, We pulled up and he walked me to the door. I opened the door and lead us inside.

"Hey, boy." I waved weakly to him.

"What happened?" His eyebrows wrinkled. He dropped his book and walked over me. "I'm Simon, by the way." He extended his arm toward Niall. Niall took it and shook back.

"I'm Niall." He smiled warmly at him.

"I saw Bryan." His faced contorted a bit and then got all angry.

"Just forget about them. Don't put yourself In that position, anymore."

"It's not your fault, Hun."

"Yes, it is. I told you to go. GOD, I'm so sorry." He wrapped his arms around me, into a hug.

"It's okay." I sobbed quietly for a bit, then excused myself to go to the loo. My makeup was, at best, all over my face. A few minutes later, I walked out of the bathroom and made my way toward Simon.

"Thank you. Is it alright if I stay over, tonight? I don't want to spend the night alone."

"Sure thing, Hun." He ruffled my hair.

"Stop it! You're messing up my hair!" I pulled away, giggling. Niall was sitting in a settee.

"You alright?" I pulled him into a hug.

"Yeah." I whispered.

"Well, I'm gonna get going. It's late. Would you want me to walk you to your house?"

"No thanks; I'm staying here, with Simon." I hugged him, goodbye.

"Call me, if you need anything." He gave me a peck on the cheek. It made me both, smile and blush.

"Bye, love." With that, he was gone. Simon turned to me.

"You have no idea how angry I am." His fists clenched, white knuckles.

"I have a pretty good idea."

"Seriously, they can't just get away with it."

"I guess they'll just learn that life isn't always gonna be like this."

"That's it? You're not going to retaliate?"

"Well, why? It's not going to help."

"Sorry, but I don't think that I'm just going to let this go."

"What do you mean? ... Don't. Just don't."

"I'm not going to beat him up or anything."

"Just leave it as it is. Please." This conversation wasn't helping me feel any better.

You'd think that being called names like that for an entire year, I'd be used to it. The pain doesn't stop. Words do hurt, and I still wasn't over it. I don't think I'll ever be.

"Go to sleep. It's already 10 and we've got graduation tomorrow. It's going to be a happy day, tomorrow." He smiled at me. I pulled my bag, from out of his mackintosh closet. I keep extra pjs and essentials in it. All changed and ready to sleep, he passed me two blankets for the settee. Whenever I sleepover at Simon's house, we both sleep on his settees.

"Goodnight, harmony."

"'Night, boy." I drifted off in a deep, dreamless sleep, thankfully.

"IT'S TIME TO GET UP, LAZYBONES!" I threw a pillow at Simon, as I woke up.

"What time is it?"

"Half past noon!" I bolted up.

"What?!" I've got ten minutes to my hair appointment!" I whipped on my trainers and grabbed my keys.

"You'll make it! Want me to drive you?"

"No, I'm good. Thanks!" Sprinting to my car, I sprung into it and sped off. I got there precisely eight minutes late, as it was all the way across town. I walked up to the annex. The flashy, bold, neon sign, SWEET BEE, flickered above the entrance. I walked up to the receptionist.

"Hi, Georgia. I phoned in a couple days ago and set up for an appointment with Phoebe. But, I'm a couple minutes late. Is that alright?" I asked, breathless.

"Calm down, love. She's in her station, waiting for you." I nodded my thanks and speed-walked to her.

"Hello, Harmony!"

"Hi, Pheobe!" I smiled taking off my jumper. "Sorry; I didn't have time to brush my wild mane.""That's alright!"

**** TWO HOURS LATER ****

"All done!" I grabbed the mirror to see what I looked like. She did a double waterfall braid, pulling back my bangs out of my face. Whew. With the rest of my hair, she varied in several different types of curls. Some corkscrew, some softly waved, some tousled. I loved it!

"Thank you so much!" I got up to give her a hug.

"You look beautiful, love!" I paid her and made my way out of the salon. On my way, I bumped into Jace. Crap.

"Whoops!" She said and turned to apologize to me. "Oh, Harmony! Wait! I'm so sorry about yesterday. Sometimes Bryan can be such a guy." She rolled her eyes, in mock annoyance.

"You're telling me..."

"Yeah, but he said that he's sorry. He feels really bad." She used her annoyingly high, (note: annoy is a key -word when thinking of Jace) fake-sympathy voice. I was boiling angry at that point. Not because she bumped into me or because she is with Bryan or even because she'd never defended me. No. I was angry, because she's so fake. If there's one pet peeve that I have, it's when someone is fake. Jace is never sorry. She never owns up to anything. She pretended to be my friend once, I got over that. She did it again. No. I'm not letting her in anymore.

"Here's the thing. I don't want your fake-sympathy or your fake friendship anymore. I made that mistake once, learned from it, and, now, I'm not doing it again. This is me not putting up with you or your stupid childish drama. Life isn't gonna be like this. You're done with high school. That was your security blanket. Now, you've had it ripped off, and you're going to have a rude awakening in the real world." I grabbed my receipt and walked off, leaving her dumbfounded.
