It was that time again, and I couldn't contain my excitement. There were only two things I loved as much as making music: food and Lauren. I had gotten in the habit of calling her on my lunch breaks during studio time, which was turning out to be practically every day, every week.

Younger Camila would have stayed in the studio all day, starving herself and forgetting her own health. However, 22 year old Camila had a beautiful, loving girlfriend who constantly reminded her how important it was to say fit, both mentally and physically. No more killing myself over my work. So, I stepped outside to my usual calling spot and pulled my phone out, ready to hear my beautiful girlfriend's voice.

Then, everything went dark.

C: Have fun with your friends i love you 💕

I couldn't help but smile at Camila's text, even though she was breaking the news that we wouldn't be able to talk. Honestly, I had gotten pretty impressed with the way she called me at the same time every day, so I was sort of waiting for the day that she'd be too preoccupied in the studio, too busy cooking up her next big hit. I was so proud of her. I put my phone back down on the table and looked up to find my friends staring back at me, smirks plastered across their faces.

"Camila?" Keana asked, kinking an eyebrow.

"Maybe." I answered, trying my best to hide my smile.

"Is it time for her to call?"

"Nah, she can't today. I'll probably just see her later, though. Depends on studio stuff."

"You'd think by the way you were smiling like an idiot at your phone, she was calling."

"She just does that anytime her name pops up.", Britt chimed in, "It's been like, what? Seven years or some shit and you're still reacting like that."

"That's love, baby." Kya, Britt's girlfriend said with a grin.
