"Being here really makes me wish that I had more time to watch movies." I said just before taking another sip of my wine.

"Nah, I love music too much to spend my free time on anything else." Ty laughed.

"Are you saying I don't love music?"

"I'm actually just saying you have a wider attention span than me."

"Ok, I was about to go off."

Ty and I chuckled and returned our attention to everything going around us. We were at Elton John's Oscars Viewing Party together, and I had already spent a good amount of the night getting drunk and cheering along as people got awarded. I fucking loved the Oscars. It was a good thing that I had so many distractions going on, but in the back of mind I could still only really focus on one thing.

Camila was so close, yet so far. My girlfriend was just a few blocks away at another Oscars party, and it was driving me crazy. We had sent a few texts back and forth throughout the night, but were both trying our best to be present at our events. The more wine I got in me, the more I wanted to throw all of that out the window and just go meet up with her. I officially lost all willpower when I received a bathroom selfie from Camila.

I bit the inside of my cheek and looked around the room, relieved to see most people preoccupied with their own conversations. By the time I'd looked back at the picture, my mind was made up.

"I'll be right back." I mumbled to Ty.

I attempted to stand, but soon had a strong hand wrapped around my wrist. I looked down at Ty as I hovered over my chair, almost in shock.

"Seriously?" he asked.

"What?" I responded.

"I saw that picture."

I furrowed my brow and slowly sank back down into my seat, slipping my arm out of his grip.

"Your point?" I asked.

"Are you going to go meet up with her?" he returned.

"Ty, I'm sorry, but--"

"No, this isn't about me.", he stopped me, "Don't apologize. I'm saying do you think it's smart?"

I blinked. Too many things started racing through my mind in that moment.

1. Was it super conceited of me to think that Ty was just saying this because he was jealous? Still heartbroken? It wasn't too long ago that he had been trying to convince me to just get back together with him.

2. Was going to meet up with Camila smart? Probably not. This was way too big of a night and there were way too many people around. We were literally in the heart of Hollywood.
