FEAR OF LOSING YOU

As soon as Lub held her hand, Zami froze on her spot.Soon everyone started leaving the canteen leaving the 6 behind.Arh,Meh & Sheh stood there gaping at the couple.Zami's struggle to escape from Lub's hold brought them out of their trance.

LUB:"Where are you going?" He received silence as response. "Tell me Ms.Khan why are you running away from me now AGAIN" He stressed the Last word.

   Zami shrugged Lub's hands off her and threw an angry glare at him & stared straight into his eyes.That intensity made him take a step back.  She left from there angrily after glaring him and passing a glance to the remaining four and they gulped.

 ARH:"What the hell just happened now?"

MEH:"I"

SHEH:"Don't"

ZAK:"Know?"

LUB:"Really?"

   The second Lub spoke,all four glared at him and moved towards  him.A chill ran down his spine.He was just.......FREAKING OUT!

LUB:"Why are you all now glaring at me now?"

ARH,SHEH,MEH,ZAK:"Go and pacify her"  All the four shouted on top of their voices.Thank God canteen was emty or else his image!He thought & gulped.He went running from there to save himself from them & began searching Zami.He found her at the empty auditorium.He moved towards her.Though Zami felt his presence,she didn't react.He stood facing her back.

LUB:"Zami"

ZAMI:"Don't.Don't you dare call my name" She spoke without turning,but stood up.

LUB:"I really don't understand why you are mad at me"He sighed, frustrated.

ZAMI:"You still didn't recognise.Did you?"

LUB:"No"  Now Zami turned and faced him. "Finally"  He thought.

   Lub stared into her eyes.Zami sighed.

ZAMI:"Ok.I'll explain from the beginning.Are you ready to hear?"Lub bobbed his head. "Good" She folded her hands across her chest.

ZAMI:"Sir"  She started.

LUB:"Zami" He warned.But Zami showed her palms & stopped him.

ZAMI:"Don't stop or interrupt me inbetween.Ok?" He agreed & she continued.  

ZAMI:"Our first meeting was not pleasant.I wronged you and it was a COMPLETE MISTAKE"She stressed MISTAKE and he looked at her. "After you went from there,my seniors told me about you."  Her voice lowered at the end and Lub raised his eyebrow.

LUB:"So you know about me?"  She nodded. "Everything about me?"

ZAMI:"Everything" Lub nodded grimly.

LUB:"Continue" His voice was hoarse.Zami looked down but continued.

ZAMI:"I  regretted deeply for my action after knowing that you were not at fault" Lub smiled faintly.

LUB:"Then?"

ZAMI:"To be frank" She paused and looked directly at Lub who was already looking at her.

LUB:"To be frank..What's next?" He started walking towards her but she didn't budge.

ZAMI:"I FELT SOMETHING FOR YOU" She confessed looking directly at his eyes.

   That stopped Lub in his tracks.A full blown smile adorned his face.Shock,Surprise,Confusion, Happiness & many other emotions hit him at the SAME TIME.He smiled widely llike an idiot.

  But there was no expression on Zami's face.She had a poker face.That made Lub frown,but his happiness brushed that thought off.He was about to go near her when her next words prevented him from moving.

ZAMI:"But"

LUB:"But what? And when did you realise your feelings?"

ZAMI:"On that day you kept that BET" Lub smiled.

LUB:"But what's the problem now?"

ZAMI:"Wait till I complete.Although I realised that I felt something for you,I was not ready to accept that at that moment.But before I could reply you pushed me away" Till now there was no emotion on her face.Lub hung his head down at her this statement.

ZAMI:"When you asked again,I was ready to accept my feelings.But again you pushed me away" She paused. "That too ON MY B'DAY" She whisphered the last sentance.Lub's head snapped up at her this word and averted his gaze unable to face her.

LUB:"Zamina I" He was cut off.

ZAMI:"Why?"

LUB:"What why?"    

ZAMI:"Why are you doing this everytime?You asked me something.I'm ready to answer.But you push me and run away even before I could open my mouth.Not once,but ALWAYS THE SAME IS REPEATING.Why are you playing with me?" Her voice was gradually increasing and she was literally yelling at him.  

           "If you don't want answers say that straight at my face.But don't use me like a toy.You get that?Stop this right now.I feel disgusted at myself.Am I that worthless that you are USING ME?"  She was panting heavily after all the shouting.

     The word USING angered Lub to no extent.He agree that he did wrong.  "But how could she think that I could USE her.Does she even know the meaning of what she's speaking?Never even in my worst nightmares I could think of her like that.Never.N E V E R" He thought.

ZAMI:"Answer"  She couldn't continue as he pulled her towards him by holding her shoulders tightly but not hurting her.

LUB:"Stop.Stop.Stop that.Will you?" He shouted angrily  making her flinch and shudder at his this behaviour.But he cared less.Anger blinded him.   

  "What you think you are speaking?Using?You think I'm using you?You said you knew EVERYTHING(He punctuated each word) about me.If that's true,you wouldn't have said that I'm using you.I'm disappointed with you today.Again,History is repeating.Today,again you hurt me. Although I was wrong,it's me who got hurt now.Now I'm asking you.Why did you use THAT word when you have some feeling for me?"Zami pushed him away & released herself from his tight grip.

ZAMI:"HAD"   Lub frowned.

LUB:'What do you mean by HAD?"

ZAMI:"I'm saying that I H.A.D(she stressed more than necesary) feelings for you"

LUB:"What?"   Not only Lub, but Arh,Meh,Zak & Sheh too was shocked & shot the same question. But Zami cared less at their presence.Lub too ignored them at that time.

ZAMI:"Yes.I had feelings for you Mr.Jabalah.Even that was not even a CRUSH" He flinched at that word & something broke inside him.  "But now I don't have even that.You get that? I  don't feel anything for you.Even if I feel something,it will be hatr" She paused & CORRECTED! "It will be ANGER & nothing.OK?Nothing" She shouted & left from there.Lub fell on the floor with a thud.

BUT,the four souls smiled happily!:)
