I was definitely in the press and it was pissing me off because everyone feels like they have a say so on my weight. I have fluctuated in weight over the years but this time was because I was pregnant did they need to know that? No.
"Uh hey." I looked up from my book and Justice was standing in the door. "Hey Jus what's on your mind?" She shrugged and limped over to the bed. She had been cleared to walk without crutches but she still had a limp.
"I've only been here a couple weeks but I think i'm ready to know more about you and Toni before we go meet her family tomorrow." I chuckled and took my glasses off. "What do you want to know?"
"Well since were meeting them tomorrow tell me about your relationship with them." My eyes widened and I might've choked a little bit but I kept my composure.
"Um well we really don't have a relationship. Some things were said before you were born and I've never really came back around them. I mean I go to family functions for like ten minutes but I leave after." Justice laughed at me.
"Ten minutes! Really? Can we do that tomorrow?"
"We? No no you have to stay they want to meet you and get to know you." She sucked her teeth and laid on my lap, which threw me off. "What did they do for you not to even sit and talk with them."
"I don't really want to tell you because then you'll look at them differently." I was playing in her hair as she laid in my lap. "But they disrespected my mother and I want to know why." That was the first time she ever called me or Toni mom.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that."
"No no I am your mother I just haven't heard you say that in so long it makes me cry." Justice rolled over and wiped my tears and she sat up to hug me. "So now tell me because either way I'm going to feel a certain way."
"We can wait until Toni gets back." Justice laid back in my lap and started to rub my stomach. "So what sibling am I going to have?"
"Have no idea we find out in a week after we meet my family." I smiled and she sat up. "Like the Jacksons?! Like Randy and and Micheal?! Holy shit!" My eyes widened and she pierced her lips. "My bad."
"Yeah I hope you don't cuss like that tomorrow your grandma is like so religious." I heard the front door open and then Toni's voice follow.
"Babe! I'm home." I looked down at Justice. "Look let's not talk about her family anymore because that's exactly what they did to me and I didn't like." Damn I let it slip.
"I told you, you were going to tell me. It's all good I won't say anything"
