A lot has happened since you last saw us last year, one of the things being that the twins are now one walking around terrorizing everything. Today's the twins birthday and me and Travis have been out shopping for gifts all morning.
Travis has taken on the role as a big brother for the twins and we're very grateful that he has. We were outback setting up for the cookout today when I got a phone call from Janet.
"Hey ma where are you?" I could hear the twins in the back crying. "We uh, we are having a little trouble getting back home." They were all in Atlanta so Toni could record a new song and re-record others for her upcoming show in Las Vegas.
"What why?"
"Apparently something's wrong with the plane, so we all had to get off of it."
"You aren't getting back on it right? Even if they fix it." Janet didn't respond but I could hear the phone drop on the floor. "Kori why would you do that?"
"I'm sorry Justice the twins have been real cranky today, but no we aren't Toni and Joey are trying to get a jet or something so we can make it back home in time."
"That's a four to five hour flight, are you guys going to be able to make before six."
"Yeah it's only 12 I'll keep you updated just please keep decorating, oh and one of Toni's sisters should be coming over in about a hour to help." I looked down at my watch and rolled my eyes.
"A real hour or a braxton hour because we might be done by then."
"I don't kno- huh? Oh okay come get Kamden then. We got a private plane I'll call you when we land."
"Ok I love you guys."
"We love you too." She hung up and I sat my phone down on the table. "Well something was wrong with the plane and they had to get another one, they'll try to be here before six."
"Oh okay well let's hurry here so we can wrap the presents or bag them and then we can have some fun of our own." He said walking over to me. "As much as I want to take you up on that offer I can't, one of my aunts are supposed to be coming in a hour."
"That hasn't stopped you before, remember when you first introduced me to your family, we left for two hours and we weren't even at your house."
"I was young back then Trav with no job or priorities." He sucked his teeth and walked back to the table. "Man that was five months ago."
"Just put the table cloth on the table, we can take a break until whoever is supposed to be here gets here."
"And do what?"
"Wrap and bag these gifts, we spent over $300 on these gifts so we're going to take our time wrapping them."
"For what? They're one and the paper is going to get ripped off." He said walking over to me. I took his hand and walked into the house, "You're right but I refuse for anyone's gift to look better then ours."
