Justice
These last months have been real stressful, but good nonetheless. My parents have been going to counseling and getting the help that they need, thank God. They both have been real busy with their careers Janet's album dropped on the eight days ago and Toni's residency started in August. Today Janet was performing in New York for The Today Show.
"Justice you good?" Janet came from behind me and sit on the table in front of me.
"I'm really tired." She laughed and rubbed my stomach, "you should be tired you traveling back and forth between me and Toni. How's the baby?"
"It's doing just fine." I said smiling, I could see Joey standing behind me from the reflection in the tv, "what Joey?"
"We have to go you need to be on the stage at eight twenty." I looked over at the clock and it was eight meaning they needed to leave now if they wanted to be on time. "Go ahead I'll be here watching."
"You sure?" She said getting up and grabbing her jacket. "Yeah I don't need to get sick plus I can take a nap."
"Okay but when I get back we are going to enjoy New York it's your first time here so we're going to have some fun." Janet said walking to the door. "Yeah whatever just don't mess up ma."
"Never that Justice." She and Joey walked out the door and I went into the bedroom and turned the Today show on. "All them damn people just to see her, couldn't be me."
I threw the remote on the bed and walked into the kitchen to grab some fruit. Janet and Toni are on a diet so I kinda am too. I grabbed a water and walked back into the room just in time to see him announce her.
"Who the fuck picked that shit out? They look a damn mess." I said laughing but my laugh was cut short when my phone rang.
"Hey ma." She took awhile to respond and when she did she sounded really groggy. "Hey Justice."
"Ew ma what's wrong with your voice?"
"Justice it's really early over here I just called because these outfits are horrible." I laughed almost choking on the grape I was eating.
"I said the same thing but at least they can dance."
"Naw you aren't old enough to remember her crew from back in the day, they okay compared to them."
"Why are you up so early? You know you have to get as much rest as you can before tonight." The day Toni past out was the thing that Toni and Janet needed.
Flashback
"Family for Braxton." The doctor called as he walked from behind two big double doors. Janet practically flew over to the doctor.
"Yes that's is. Is she okay? What happened? What's wrong?" She spit questions out at a rapid pace.
"Ms. Braxton is fine right now she just fainted that's all."
"From what? She was perfectly fine."
"Exhaustion, I told her to take it easy before something worse happens. According to her chart after she had her child she had benign tumors removed." Janet looked back at me and nodded her head slowly.
"Yeah she did but the doctor said they wouldn't come back."
"Well they haven't yet, but they tend to come back once or twice after the initial diagnosis. Look don't worry just make she's resting and taking care of herself."
