"Ma!" We were all in Janet's apartment in New York for the next two weeks before she heads back to set to film for her new movie.
"Yes!" She yelled from somewhere in here.
"Where are you?"
"I'm in the kitchen!" I got up and made sure that Kobi was still sleep before I went into the kitchen. When I walked out the room Kam and Kori were running around.
"Y'all be careful and keep it down Kobi's sleep." They were now four and bad as ever but they were still my babies.
"Okay Jus." They said in unison, which they tended to do a lot now. I walked away from them and peeped inside my parents room to find Toni laying across the bed. I rolled my eyes at her and went into the kitchen.
"What you doing?" I asked walking into the kitchen. "Making lunch for the kids and then I'm going to check on Toni why?"
"Oh nothing I'm just bored, I mean we are here in New York doing the same things we do at home."
"Justice you are grown with a child if you wanna go out, go out." She said laughing and putting the peanut butter away.
"Oh I know that but I'm not here alone I'm here with my family." I said sitting down at the island.
"Well we can do something tonight if Toni's up for it." I didn't respond to the comment about Toni, instead I changed the subject.
"You talk to uncle Mike?" I asked playing with my nails. "Not sense the party for my parents, why?" I shrugged my shoulders and got up to go in the fridge.
"No reason just curious because you speak to everyone else."
"Yeah I do, but he's getting ready to do this big tour, so it's hard to catch him. Now back to my previous comment about Toni being up for an activity don't think I didn't notice your attitude change."
"What are you talking about?"
"Toni has lupus that attacks her heart do you know how that feels or what that does to a person? No you don't and I understand you and Toni have an on again off again relationship but right now is not the time to be an ass, grow up." She said as she walked to find Kam and Kori.
As if she knew that I needed a reason to leave the kitchen Kobi started crying. Kobi is very much a mommy's girl and she has separation anxiety, so every time she wakes up and i'm not there it's not pretty.
When I walked into the room she was bawling her eyes out until she saw me and held her hands out to be picked up.
"Kobi your two now why are you crying like your a baby?" I said wiping her face.
"I scared momma." She said burying her head in my neck, which made me so sad. No matter how many times we do this she makes me so sad.
"You want some lunch?" Another thing about this child is she's loves to eat anytime you want her to stop crying just feed her.
