For the last two months me and Toni have been separated. I have been living in a hotel, while Toni has been living in the house. We communicate for the sake of the twins and we switch every Wednesday. Today it's my turn to go get them so I'm sitting in the driveway debating if she should bring them out or if I should go in.

I got out of the car after twenty minutes and went to knock on the door, but stopped once I realized that I had a key. When I walked in the house was dark and there were candles and rose petals making a path. I followed them and they lead me to Toni who was standing there holding a rose.

"Toni." I said laughing, "what is all of this? Where are the kids I'm ready to go home, I don't feel like playing with you right now."

"I'm not playing Jan... I miss you." She said walking over to me handing me the rose. "The kids are at your mothers house, so we can spend some time together."

"Toni-"

"Janet sit down please come on." She grabbed my hand and lead me to a chair at the table.

"Fine Toni we can eat dinner and talk but that's it nothing else."

"That's all I'm asking." She took a seat and we ate in complete silence. I know that I shouldn't ask what I'm about to ask, but in order for me to be able to move forward we have to talk about it.

"So how long did you think you were going to get away with not telling me about Mia?" Toni dropped her fork and looked up at me.

"Janet I'm not about to do this with you right now." I took a deep breath and pulled at my ear, "Toni we can't keep sweeping shit under the rug. You want me to come back home and just pretend everything is peachy when you called me your ex's name, ripped your daughters heart out of her chest, and then assaulted me."

"Assaulted?! Janet come on that's a bit excessive I didn't assault you."

"You might not remember because you were drunk Toni."

"Janet you won't let this go will you?" I scoffed in disbelief. "Toni I will never let this go! Our family was ruined because of that bitch."

"I understand that Janet and I would kill her myself if she wasn't already dead."

"Are you sure about that?" Toni pushed out her chair and walked over to me wrapping her arms around my neck. "Yes, I'm sure." She said barely above a whisper. Her hand slipped down to my shirt rising it up slowly causing me to grab her hand.

"Toni just because I agreed to eat dinner doesn't mean I agreed to be dessert." She didn't listen to a word I said because she slid her hand into into my sweats.
