26. Experiments

V shakes his head. Two more werewolves just died. He stares worriedly to RM. The Alpha looks like in deep pain. As if he's the one suffered from the poisonous blood.

RM suddenly says, "Do it. Drain their blood. Use mine."

V asks, "Three werewolves left. Your blood would be drained empty."

"Use mine too," adds Claire.

"No. It's too dangerous. You could die," protests V.

He rubs his chin and then he asks, "Could you drain the blood from the dead werewolves? Purify it then infused it to the living?"

The scientist scratches his head.

He answers honestly, "Sire, we never did it before."

"Well, you would do it now."

There are four dead werewolves. Enough blood for the last remaining three.

The scientists begin the draining process immediately. V goes to grab some refreshments for them. RM and Claire looks very tired.

V offers them two cups of coffee. RM stares to his cup. Claire drinks it without hesitation. She squints her eyes.

"Salt in coffee. Very funny," comments her before she smiles a little.

V only smiles. It's good to see she is smiling again. Practical joke would cheer anyone's spirit.

RM tastes his coffee. Sugar. It tastes okay. He stares to V and Claire. They are chatting happily.

V is smiling when he asks, "Have you ever done any mischief in the past?"

"Well, sort of," replies Claire.

"To the Alpha?"

"Of course not. To his Beta, J-HOPE. After he stole my pillow."

V asks curiously, "What did you do?"

"Stole his chickens. Made few fox's footprints to the woods. When he went to hunt the fake fox, I returned them. Erased the footprints."

V claps his hands. Applause for her brilliant mind.

"What happened next?" asks him.

"He asked me if he was suffered delusions. I told him he's just too tired. He went to sleep and..."

RM continues it for her, "She puts few chickens into his room. When he tried to chase them. They were gone. My Beta thought he's going nuts."

V laughs heartily.

He rubs tears from his eyes from too much laughing.

"Amazing! Your tricks were even better from my past pranks to Suga."

"Oh, yeah! What did you do?" asks her.

RM pulls his sister away from him. They are standing too close.

He asks, "You stayed in Soleil too long. The humans are having carnival tomorrow night. Don't you want to go?"

"How could I enjoy it when our men are suffering like this?"

A scientist approaches V and he reports, "It worked, Your Majesty. Their conditions have stabilized. They should recover soon enough."

V inhales a deep breath.

He orders, "Perform the same standard procedures to the tainted vampires."

RM grabs his collar and then he asks, "You used our men as guinea pigs first?"

V holds his hand and forces him to release him.

He asks, "Won't you do the same? Your people would worth more than others. Werewolves have stronger bodies. They would withstand the experiments."
