3. Leaving home

"BJ. Your name should be BJ," comments RM.

Jin asks, "Why?"

"Bubble Jin."

"That name suck. I prefer Jin."

Jin spreads his hands. No bubble. Nothing. As if last night was only a weird dream. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make the bubble appears again.

He scratches his head.

He mumbles, "It couldn't be a dream..."

RM asks, "Did you say anything?"

"The bubble. You saw it too, right?"

"Yeah. You saved us. No need to rub it in," mocks RM.

"No, not that. I can't form it anymore. No matter how hard I tried."

V comments, "Maybe you just exhausted..."

"Yes. Don't fret about it. Your power would be back. You just have to be patient."

"Say the one who got reenergized every dawn. Unfair," complaints Jin.

V never wavers. He seems to know where they are going.

Jin sighs. He pours few last drops of water into his mouth. His throat is dry like a desert.

RM snatches the water jug from his hands. He pours it. No water.

"Hey, you drink it all!" protests him.

"It's only few drops left."

V stops moving. He closes his eyes. His instincts have been honed since he got here.

He points to a certain direction.

V opens his eyes. He is pointing to a ruined park.

"Water over there."

RM and Jin stare him as if he's mad.

V shrugs his shoulders and then he says, "I just know. Don't ask me how."

RM walks ahead of them. He is the strongest among them. He should go first if there's ambush.

The park is empty. Suddenly a flock of crows fly toward them. Trying to peck them. Eating their flesh alive.

V and RM try their best to kill them. Jin avoids them while he ventures deeper into the park. There is a small spring like V has predicted.

Jin fills up their water jugs.

Suddenly there is a blade pointed to his neck.

"You are still alive. Not bad, Rookie."

"Why? We never harm you. Why you want to kill us?" asks Jin.

He stares the stranger. His odd hat has flaps that cover most of his face and neck.

"Jin!" calls RM.

Jin kicks the head when he got distracted by their arrivals. The hat falls off from the head.

Not a man. She's only a teenager girl with very short hair.

She grabs the hat from the ground.

"See you again, Rookie."

She dashes away.

Jin calls, "No need to chase her. We got the water."

"We got birds to eat too," says RM.

They grill the crows to fill their hungry bellies.

Jin swallows his meal before he asks, "Could you locate something else?"

"Like what?" asks V.

RM asks, "Bread?"
