17. Barbarians

RM dives into the cold water again and again. Still no sign of his old friend, Jin. Somehow he felt relieved. He hates to think his best friend ended up here. In the cold lake.

V asks, "Anything?"

"Nope. Nothing. Just fish and plants at bottom."

Kai asks, "Are you sure?"

RM nods his head. He wipes his head with a towel when Aimee offers it. She seems has calmed down a lot.

He asks, "You okay?"

"I don't think he died. I think I would know if it happened..."

V stares the Lake. The water from the Lake goes further. It fills nearby river.

He asks, "Do you think his body drifted away? The river currents seem pretty strong."

"How far your radius, human radar?" asks his girlfriend.

"Dunno. Never tested it before."

Aimee claps her hands.

She screams, "He is alive! He must be outside your radar. That simple, V. We must find him."

RM looks to V. They both have sad looks on their faces. It's better they said nothing. Not until they found his dead body. Hard to think anyone could escape the fall without harm.

"Let's get going. We have to find him," orders Aimee.

Kai suggests, "We better get our stuffs first. We don't know how far his body went."

"Jin is alive! You can't keep saying he is dead."

Suga has just joined them. He overhears what Aimee has yelled to Kai. He kept silent. His stare never leaves Kai's face.

They start the journey soon afterwards. Only one mission: find Jin. Dead or alive.

They finally stops on a large grassland. It's time to take a break.

"It has been three months. Get a grip, everyone. Jin is dead. Let's leave it like that," complaints Jimin.

He isn't too enthusiastic to find Jin.

Kai gives him a cold stare. It was his fault they had to do this wild goose chase.

Aimee protests, "We will find him soon."

"It's almost Fall. Jimin is right. We need to find a place to crash for a while. We better build a home base for now," suggests RM.

"What about Jin?" asks Aimee.

V comments, "I could find him. I could travel alone."

"No, you won't. I will go with you."

Jimin scolds, "No one is going anywhere. Jin is dead. Let's leave it like that."

Suddenly Suga asks, "Why you know about it? Because you killed Jin?"

Everyone is shocked. They stare Suga and then Jimin.

Jimin only scoffs.

He defends himself, "Why would I kill him?"

Suga stares Aimee. The others stare her too.

"Because you are in love with her. And she only loved Jin."

V asks, "No, it couldn't... Kai?"

His girlfriend looks another way. Kai never like lies. If she couldn't tell the truth, she would just avoid it.
