So I debated make a chapter about me but I talked to Kai about it and here we are. This isn't important (or that important) to the rest of the story but who knows since I haven't finished it yet. This is before the events of the story!!
(3rd person POV)
She sighed. The next 24 hours would be tiring. Luna and Lunar had set up a system of alerts for when something was happening in the multiverse that needed their attention. It wasn't perfect, far from it. Basically it gave them a killer headache whenever they needed to come to the void and check something out. Other than that, the two had set up a schedule for the three Guardians on when it was their turn to fix problems. Unfortunately, all of them would still get the alert. Luna had been trying to spend some time with her parents during Shadow's shift and it seemed as if nothing got done. Luna was pretty used to doing all of the work though. Lunar was normally pretty busy and Shadow, well Shadow is just lazy. Luna would normally spend days in the void, jumping from place to place solving problems. She didn't mind but she regularly had to go back to her world to get coffee. It was currently her shift and despite the lack of sleep she got last night, she felt like she was ready for anything. Unfortunately, the universe isn't that kind. First she had to deal with an upsurge of dark magic in a world she named "Mermaid Tales". The Lucinda of that world had gone nuts. From what Luna's heard from Scarlet, Lucinda is normally calm, sensible, and prepared. Luna knew that this would be jumbled by the different worlds but she didn't think it was that bad. Next she spent about an hour or so trying to track down the person who was using the void to travel between worlds, which is unsafe unless with or permitted by a Guardian. She had no luck and the anomaly got away... again. Then for the finale, she discovered a new world. Luna was excited, of course who wouldn't be? But before Luna even opened a portal she could tell something was off. She wasn't going to call for backup, no one would come. Instead, she did a universe scan. This would allow her to get a sneak peak of what awaited her there. What she found astonished her. The main planet was filled with copies of everyone she knew and more. She recognized faces from Diaries and Mystreet as well as other universes she had been to. There was something off about them. They were grey and had dark energy rolling off them in waves. It was nauseating. She quickly cast a sealing spell over the universe in hopes that none of them would be able to escape. She then left the void and ended up back in her room. She then broke, tears slipping from her eyes and a sob clogged in her throat. She had completely forgotten that she had a guest over last night that was still asleep in her bed. He quickly woke up and rushed to her side. Laurence wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly, rocking her slightly. They remained like this for a bit until Luna regained herself. "Um, thanks Laurence." He kissed the top of her head softly, "No problem Lu. Want to tell me what that was about?" She shook her head. He knew better than to pry and understood that her job as a Guardian was difficult. She was back early too. He shook that thought out of his head. It wasn't his place to know things about the other worlds. He was content just being able to be there for Luna.

So quick little something, this happens about a month into their relationship. Luna is nineteen but a week or two from being 20. Laurence is 27. Any complaints about the age gap will get deleted. He is currently 30 in cannon so I'm making it so it isn't weird. Also Luna is cannonly asexual so they weren't doing... that.

Tomorrow starts finals week as well as tech week (double hell week) so I'm hoping to get the next actual chapter out Wednesday or Thursday but if it doesn't happen, that's why.
