The Truth Is Sometimes Worse Than The Lie

I rubbed the back of my neck, "Oh yeah, might've forgotten to mention one last little detail. This is Serena Lycan, Darek's sister..."
Eyes shot between me and her. Lunar, who had come back out of the portal and closed it behind her, stared in shock.
Serena chuckled nervously, "They have no clue who I am, do they?"
I chuckled a bit and smiled an awkward smile, "Yeah, no. They've never even heard of you."
Lunar exploded at this, "I have an aunt?! And you've known the whole time?!"
Aaron's head shot to Lunar, "You have an aunt?! That's apparently my aunt!"
Hope, who had at some point walked in, stood in the corner shaking her head. "Both of you chill."
Melissa's hot shot to Hope, "I'm sorry, who gave you the right to tell us to chill."
Hope sighed and walked out, "Ask Luna."
I made an offended noise, "Hope Lycan you get your ass back in here!"
She flipped me off and continued walking, "Says the one who was gay for my little sister in fourth grade!"
At this me and Lunar burst out laughing, "I almost forgot about that!" Lunar said, wiping at the under side of her eye.
I snickered and lightly punched her arm, "You liked me back dingus!"
I could tell people were staring so we took a moment to compose ourselves with Lunar speaking up first, "What? You act as if you've never seen two gal pals laughing their asses off together."
Aaron just looked flabbergasted. "Wh-Wha-"
Lunar's eyes went wide, faking surprise. "Oh, you're trying to process that you have two sisters that you didn't know about! And an aunt apparently."
Melissa just looked sad and confused. "But dad, he never told me..."
I looked at her with sympathy. "Hope's older. She accidentally hurt you when you were a child. She couldn't handle the guilt of it and ran away. If not for that you would've know about her. Me and Lunar, well, we were born years after the youngest of our families. We were kept a secret intentionally. As for Serena, she and your father didn't have the best of relations."
Serena put a hand on my shoulder, "I'd love to hear the entire story sometime but I'd like to hear what happened here if that's okay."
I nodded, "Of course ma'am. Introductions first. This is Lunar, Shadow, and you saw Hope. There is Travis, Aphmau, Aaron, Melissa, Garroth, Zane, Kawaii~chan, Kim, Lucinda, Katelyn, my parents Garte and Zianna, Aphmau's mom Sylvanna, Maria, Daniel, Daniel's mom Raquel, Dottie, and Laurence." (If I missed anyone let me know, Blaze is dead so...)
I pointed to each person as I said their names. Serena looked overwhelmed but nodded, signalling to me to continue.
Zane stepped in, "Luna doesn't know most of what happened, she had only gotten here when this whole mess was really starting to go down."
Serene nodded and I started the story, "Well, about a year ago I was called in to sweep the woods around a lodge Darek had purchased for a dead body. We were looking for the body of a man named Ein, who happens to be Aphmau and Shadow's brother. When we got there however, we never found a body. We found a ton of magic and residual energy, but no body. After six months the search was called off. We had searched for miles in all directions of the lodge and came up with nothing. It was a waste of our time and resources to keep searching at that point. I was going back and forth between the search effort and taking care of Aaron who was in critical condition. Darek had also asked me to start making preparations to come here to Starlight for Aaron and Aphmau to be together again."
Lunar picked up where I left off, "Of course when Luna called off the search I helped her multitask between this and the void. Everything went smoothly until we got a call from Dad saying that he needed us to put an information barrier up, restricting information about the Ultima from spreading by media. Luna always has excess magic so she put one up. Like a day later we got another call from Darek saying that Garroth had been turned. Luna of course wanted rush right over but Dad told her to cool her jets."
I glared at her, "He's my brother, what did you expect me to want to do. I almost went anyway. I decided to just sleep and go to my parent's house in the morning. They, of course, weren't there so I called them. Mom then informed me they were here and that stuff was going down. I had to wait for the whole crew to get together which is when Laurence got looped into everything."
I nodded to Zane, signalling him to explain the other end of the story.

I'm not writing all of season 5 and 6. No thanks. Next chapter will be the aftermath of everything. I ain't doing that shit. Also Kawaii~chan isn't dead!! Pretend that they found her or something in the week that Luna was out.
