Have you ever been in a situation that you felt like you were never going to get out of? Well, for everyone in Detroit that was apart of everyday life. We were all crabs in a barrel stepping on each other trying to get out. Instead of connecting one person to another and forming an unbreakable chain, we robbed, stole and killed one another. Now, that's isn't that goal but when you're in survival mode and you feel attacked, sometimes you did things you weren't always proud of.Cooda knew he had one shot at taking Elon out of the game and one shot only. People like him didn't just lay down easily, you literally had to take him for everything that he had including his life. Alex and Cooda had been calling Umar to meet them for the last week. He was acting odd all of sudden.
"Bro, have you talked to that nigga Umar yet?" asked Alex.
Cooda came from out of the back room with a grin on his face, and Alex knew what that meant.
"We gotta ride down on his bitch ass today, this nigga hasn't responded to any of my calls."
" I told you I didn't trust that old nigga from the jump. He sneaky as hell but I'm definitely down with pulling up on him."
Alex and Cooda didn't know that Umar had a new partner, and he didn't want her to get a whiff of any dirty work he was doing.
"I'm about to call one more time, then we can head out. I'm tired of this old nigga. "
"Well, I'm ready and with whatever," said Alex as he sat back on the couch.
Cooda pulled out his phone and called Umar one last time before he hit the streets looking for him. Something wasn't right and he knew it. Umar was slick as oil and after Elon popped up on him, he was showing how much of a bitch behind a badge he was.
"Ring, Ring, Ring"
"Man, what's up? You have been blowing me up," said Umar as he answered the phone.
"You acting like a hoe ass nigga, we need to meet up in an hour."
"I don't know if I can do that. I'm handling business right now,"
"Nigga, you better find a way. We in this bullshit together. Stop acting like you can't be touched too."
"Is that a threat young blood? I don't deal well with threats."
" Umar, you might have other niggas worried but Im not, remember that. Meet me at the spot in an hour,"
He was pissed now, and he saw straight through Umar. Cooda and Alex knew from there on out that, he wasn't too be trusted. They came up with a plan if their meeting went south. Meanwhile, Umar was sitting in a police car waiting on Officer Keir Bristol to get back. He was trying to play it safe while he was around her. She was too nice and it was too good to be true. No one really loved their job, it was just something most of us did to provide for our families.
"Click, Clack, Swoosh" The sound of Officer Keir opening the patrol car door.
"Is everything okay? You look like someone just stole the last donut," giggled Officer Keir
"I'm good, my daughter just told me about some school stuff last minute. I need to take off for an hour or two,"
"Well, that's fine. I can find something to do for two hours. Family comes first always. I love my family, and I would do anything for them.
Umar looked over at Keir as he wondered what was she up too, no police officer was genuinely this nice and liked their job. They rode around before going back to the precinct. Umar knew he had to make up a plan to get rid of Cooda and Alex because he just didn't like them. He needed them permanently gone and he knew Elon would be the way to make that happen. He was going to meet with them and then decide what was going to go down after that. Within the hour Umar was pulling up to their meetup spot. Alex and Cooda were standing outside of their car. Umar exited the unmarked car with a smug look on his face. He didn't have time for Cooda and Alex, he just wanted the situation to be over with.
