3rd person's POV

Once Calum stopped crying Luke asked what happened.

Calum told him that Ashton left, he told Luke Ashton left because he couldn't take it. Ashton had left a note saying he needed time, and that he'll be back, he promised. He told Calum to help both Luke and Michael stay strong while he was gone.

And Calum promised to himself that he would.

He would do anything to keep them together, but sometimes everything is not enough. He knew that, they all did.

Luke took Calum's advice and he hasn't bothered Michael, he understands now that it's hard for Michael.

It's almost unbearable to see how broken he is, and Luke is willing to try again. He won't give up on Michael, and he hopes that in some way he will take all the broken pieces and glue them together.

Luke has tried to eat and concentrate on the small conversations Calum is trying to keep going but it's just impossible for him, knowing Michael wasn't okay. Luke's sub conscience would every now and then throw in thoughts like you're not good enough or like, he doesn't need you, he's made that really clear don't you think?  But Luke made sure to push those thoughts back, he was gonna be the strong one this time, for Michael.

As Luke and Calum where watching a movie, both not really paying attention to the movie considering that Ashton is nowhere to be found, not answering any of their calls, and Michael, well you know the deal, they suddenly heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs.

When they looked back they were surprised to see Michael walking towards the door, he hasn't gotten out of his room in weeks just the occasional snack or water break at 3 am .

"Michael, where are you going?" Calum called to him but again, Michael just kept walking and soon got to the door, opening it and closing it in one swift move and after a few minutes of thinking, Luke decided to go after him. And in the cold night, Luke ran until he reached Michael, around the dark street's corner.

"Michael!" Luke yelled, making Michael turn around, already annoyed from Luke's sudden need to be all up on his business.

"What the fuck do you want?" Michael groaned, turning back around, resuming his way to the bar that was 2 blocks away.

"You," Luke said quietly.

"Go home," Michael said tiredly with his back to Luke.

"No," Luke said with a strong voice, making Michael stop once again.

Luke isn't the one to stand up to anyone, specially not Michael, someone often has to stand up for him, mostly Michael.

"I said, Go Home. Haven't I made it clear? I don't want you here, I don't want myself here so just leave me alone how many times do I have to to say it?" Michael hissed, making Luke flinch.

"I am not going to leave you, you can repeat it a thousand times and I won't go away," Luke assured.

"Don't do this to yourself Luke," Michael said in a warning voice, not letting the other boy get a hint of how much he had missed him in a month.

"You do realize I'm begging you right now? Do you? I love you, why can't you see that?" Luke begged.

Michael needed to get out of there but his legs were stuck in the pavement, he couldn't believe what Luke said, he wouldn't believe it, so Michael just kept walking leaving Luke behind, but he wouldn't give up without a fight.

Luke started walking towards Michael silently this time, then Luke hesitantly grabbed Michael's shoulder and quickly turned him around.

Michael didn't have time to say anything or react before Luke pulled Michael in and kissed him with so much passion and desperation.

But this time Michael didn't pull back nor pushed Luke back like last time.

In that kiss Luke showed Michael how much he needs him, and how much he's always loved him.

Michael finally gave in and kissed Luke back with as much need, Michael couldn't reject this. It was perfect and for once, Michael believed that Luke actually loved him, making his stomach all fuzzy and feeling like fainting.Luke pulled back slowly, both gasping for air and leaned his forehead on Michael's, both their eyes still closed from the unexplainable feeling they both felt from being so close to each other.

"Michael," Luke whispered softly over Michael's lips.

"Hmm," Michael hummed, unable to find his words.

"Please, Let me love you," Luke begged softly.

Luke wasn't sure what Michael would answer, he was afraid of getting rejected again. Michael was the only one that could take him far away to another world of nothing but love and happiness, he had hope that Michael would give him a chance.

Luke hoped that Michael would let him fix him like Michael had almost completely fixed him.

Michael couldn't think straight, therefore he took his time, making Luke even more nervous that he already was. Michael was nervous too, no doubt. Michael was thinking of the pros and cons, so far he had more cons of course, but he still felt that he wanted to be happy even though he knew it would be just a matter of time before it all crumbled down, making the same mistakes over and over again. Like a cycle that repeats itself, and Michael wants to stop it because he's the only one who can, he can't be happy.

Luke opened his eyes patiently waiting, watching him intently like a hawk.

" We can get through this, I just need you," Luke mumbled, nervously waiting for an answer

"Okay," Is all Michael whispered.

Luke was right, Michael does need him.
