40|Aftermath

"Cher..." Toni whispered. Cheryl opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings.

She looked up at the figure in front of her, smiling as she realized who it was. "Toni..." She spoke, her voice was raspy.

"Hey, baby." Toni smiled, stroking her cheek. "I'm so happy that you're okay. I thought I was gonna lose you, my love." Toni said, staring lovingly at Cheryl.

"I'm not going anywhere." Cheryl smiled. She looked around the room, seeing the baby crib, with the baby's name already on it.

"Where is he?" Cheryl asked. Toni smiled, going over to the crib to pick the boy up. She walked over to her wife slowly.

She gently handed the baby to his mother. Cheryl smiled, looking at his little nose.

"Amari..." Cheryl whispered, letting his small fingers wrap around her hand.

He opened his eyes, staring up at the ocean blue ones.

"Hi..." Cheryl said excitedly. Toni smiled, sitting in the bed with Cheryl. Cheryl laid her head on Toni's shoulder.

Toni kisses her forehead softly. Cheryl chuckled.

"I saw your father," Cheryl told Toni after a long broke of silence.

Toni looked at her with furrowed brows. "What? Did they put you on some drugs?" Toni asked.

"No silly. I was in a coma, your father and my brother came to me." Cheryl explained.

"Oh," Toni mumbled. "Makes sense." She nodded.

"Yeah. He told me to tell you that he is happy that you found someone like me, and that he did his best." Cheryl said. Toni smiled, believing every word Cheryl said. Mostly because that's exactly what her dad told her before he died.

That he did his best to make sure Toni had the best life. Toni will be forever thankful for him.

"I'm glad you got to meet him. Did you guys get along well?" Toni asked.

"Mhm. We talked a lot, mostly about Addison and Adelaine." Cheryl nodded with a smile.

"You're in a good mood," Toni said, pecking her lips.

"Well of course. I'm thankful to be alive, and healthy. Now that I have a son, and two daughters. And the best wife I could ever ask for." Cheryl smiled.

"mhm! Of course." Toni replied.

The nurse knocked on the door. "Ohh! Your up. I just need his full name, so I can print the birth certificate." She smiled.

"Amari Maurice Topaz." Cheryl smiled as she looked at the sleeping boy in the small crib.

"Cute!" The nurse smiled. She walked out, with a wave.

Toni turned back to Cheryl with a small smile. "Tell me more!" Toni said excitedly. Cheryl nodded with a smile.

It was 8 AM. Toni had gone to pops to grab some breakfast for her and her girls. Yep, the Twins met their little brother for the first time. It was very cute.

*Flashback*
"Mommy!" Addison yelled as she ran up to the bed. Adelaide not too far behind her.

Cheryl hushed them softly. "Your brother is sleeping," Cheryl said softly, as she held Amari in her arms.

"Brother? That him?" Adelaide asked curiously.

"mhm. Girls, this is your little brother, Amari." Cheryl smiled.
