"Come on, Cher!" Jason called as the little redhead walked downstairs.
"I'm coming, JJ." Cheryl giggled, stepping down the finale step.
Jason grabbed his sister's hand, leading her over to the tree.
"Open one! It's only Christmas eve." Clifford chuckled.
"Okay, father." Jason smiled his 9-year-old smile.
The small blossom children had convinced their parents to let them open one gift on Christmas eve.
Jason opened a toy robot and Cheryl opened a nail set.
"Thanks, Mom and dad!" Cheryl smiled.
"No problem, girlie." He chuckled.

"I'll be back, Cher. Sophia and I are only going to the royal outing." Jason chuckled as his sister pouted from her spot on the bed.
"Okay, JJ. If I'm sleeping when you get back, wake me up so I know that you're okay." Cheryl smiled.
"Of course." He smiled, kissing the girl's cheek.
"Love you." Jason smiled.
"Love you more." Cheryl smiled.
Jason walked out.
*Hours later*
"Cheryl! Cheryl!" Penelope called for her daughter.
Cheryl woke up to her parents in hysterics.
"Mom? Dad? What's wrong?" Cheryl asked.
"J-Jason. He-he died." Clifford said, holding back a sob.
Cheryl's whole world stopped.
