The family arrived at the hospital and Björn carried Agnetha out of the car and started bolting towards the emergency room doors with Agnetha still in his arms. Luckily, there were two nurses who noticed and one of them immediately got a stretcher.
The nurses quickly placed Agnetha on the stretcher and ran off with her to get evaluated as Linda, Christian, Jens, and Tilda joined Björn in the waiting room. They sat in the chairs hoping for a miracle, especially Björn, who looked defeated.
"I don't get it," Björn sighed, "She was happy the other day. What happened this time?"
"Well it could be because you were flying. You know how Mama is when it comes to flying. Even when she's not flying she gets scared and anxious when somebody that she loves is flying," Christian said as a matter of fact.
"Yeah that's true," Björn sighed.
"To be honest, I don't know exactly what happened that we are now here in the hospital, but she did have a panic attack earlier. She must've sensed something was wrong with your flight," Linda said.
"Well my flight back home from London was very bumpy all the way through because of the weather so there's that," Björn said.
They sat around for a while anxiously waiting on Agnetha's condition. Two hours were passing by quick and by now it was almost midnight. This meant that visiting hours were about to end, but because the family have been waiting anxiously on Agnetha's condition for the past two hours, the doctors allowed them to see Agnetha really quickly before it was time to leave.
"There is no doubt that this was a suicide attempt. We've treated her wound but we've also given her psychiatric evaluation. We will be keeping her here for the overnight and all throughout the day for observation," the doctor said.
The family nodded as the doctor walked away at last. Linda, Christian, Jens, and Tilda immediately walked in and saw Agnetha in the room. Björn, on the other hand, was too shaken to see her. She was sleeping but as soon as she felt Björn's presence in the room.
"Mama, how are you feeling?! Are you ok?!" Linda asked, sounding panicked.
"I'm fine Linda. It's just...it's a complicated story. That's all," Agnetha replied.
"But Mama, you were cutting!" Linda exclaimed.
"Linda honey, let's not...," Jens said, putting his arm around Linda.
"Well it's late, we better get going," Christian said, looking at his watch, "We'll see you tomorrow, Mama."
Linda, Christian, Jens, and Tilda each hugged and kissed Agnetha goodnight, but Björn wouldn't move.
"Morfar, aren't you coming with us?" Tilda asked.
"No sweetheart, I'm staying with Mormor. I'm not leaving her side. Ever," Björn replied.
"Ok Papa, just call us if you need anything," Linda replied as she, Christian, Jens, and Tilda left for the night.
Björn retuned to Agnetha's bedside. He sat by her side like he did a few weeks back when Agnetha was being treated at the same hospital due to her blood pressure going up. There was a lot of stress going on in Agnetha's life and something had to be done about this sooner than later. Otherwise, the consequences could be fatal.
"Björn, you didn't have to come here," Agnetha said quietly.
"I didn't have to come here?! Agnetha, you gave me one of the biggest frights of my life!" Björn shouted.
Agnetha immediately winced at his volume and noticing the pained expression on her face, Björn decided to calm himself down before facing her again. He took several deep breaths before continuing to speak.
"Anna, why did you do it? We were so happy together. Was it because of the flight?" Björn asked.
Agnetha immediately nodded yes as her tears started flowing. Her cries broke into sobs as Björn held her in his arms. He rocked her and hushed her as he silently cried himself. Agnetha noticed this and she tried to hold him even though it seemed impossible.
"Yes, it was because of the flight. I thought you had died. I can't live without you anymore," Agnetha said as she cried harder.
"Oh Agnetha, I'm still here sweetheart. I'm still alive and I can't live without you either," Björn replied, sounding choked up.
Björn and Agnetha both held each other until they fell asleep in each other's arms. And that was the position that their children found them in the next morning. Neither Linda or Christian could help but take a picture of their two parents sound asleep in each other's arms as happy tears rolled down their cheeks.
"Good morning," Björn said as he woke up, sensing his children's presence.
"Morning Papa," Christian replied.
"When did you guys get here?"
"About 5 minutes ago," Linda replied.
"Is Mormor feeling any better?" Tilda asked.
"She's doing better now but I'm still really concerned for her," Björn replied.
"Me too Papa," Linda sighed.
Just then, Benny and Frida arrived at Agnetha's bedside looking equally concerned about Agnetha and her state of mind.
"Oh my gosh! We came here after Linda and Christian told us what happened! Is she alright?!" Frida exclaimed.
"She's doing better than she was last night," Björn replied.
"You spent the night with her here?" Benny asked.
"Yeah I did. There was no way I was going to ever leave her side especially after what happened," Björn sighed.
"I don't blame you at all, Björn. She really needed you then and she still needs you now."
Agnetha woke up from her sleep and immediately noticed everyone surrounding her. All of the people she cares about. Björn, Benny, Frida, her children, her grandchildren. All in the same room and all concerned for her well being. She couldn't help but become emotional at the sight.
"Frida!" Agnetha exclaimed, sounding choked up.
"Oh Agnetha! Are you alright?! Linda and Christian told me and Benny what happened!" Frida replied as she went over to Agnetha and gave her a hug.
"No, no I'm not alright. I mean I'm alright right now. But I don't know about later. I can't live without him, Frida! I thought he died on that plane yesterday!" Agnetha tearfully exclaimed.
"Shh...Anna, he's here. He's not leaving you. He never will," Frida was quick to reassure her.
"How do I know that?! Life is unpredictable sometimes. We are old now. What if Björn were to suffer a heart attack right in front of us at this very moment?! What if he went back home right now and on his way there, his car crashes?!" Agnetha exclaimed, panicking.
"That won't happen sweetheart. I absolutely promise you. But please calm down. We don't want your blood pressure to go up again," Björn said, rubbing her arms.
Agnetha laid back down on her bed and sighed. Things got silent between everyone in the room for a while until Linda decided to break the ice and talk about something a little more positive.
"So I was thinking..." Linda said.
"What were you thinking?" Björn didn't hesitate to ask.
"Well since you and Mama have been having a rough time. I thought that maybe eating out would help. Jens and I want to book you both a reservation."
"Where?" Agnetha asked as she sat up, looking intrigued.
"How about some Latin food?" Linda asked.
"Sounds good," Björn replied as Agnetha nodded her head yes.
The rest of the day was spent together as a family. That night, Agnetha was finally able to leave the hospital but she remained under Björn's watchful eye after what had happened. They got into bed together and as usual, Björn held her in his arms as they slept peacefully.
