I Won't Let You Go

Chapter 19

Several weeks have passed since Björn's birthday and the two lovebirds couldn't be anymore happier in life. Björn was happy. Benny and Frida were happy. Görel was happy. Michael was happy. The kids were happy. The grandkids were happy. And most importantly, Agnetha was happy.

Björn had been dividing his time 50-50 between London and Stockholm as well as Västervik, where he has been checking on Slottsholmen, the hotel and restaurant he founded and is currently managed by his daughter, Anna, who was now seven months pregnant. As a result, Björn decided to take over some of Slottsholmen's operations along with Anna's husband, Calle. And Björn wanted to bring Agnetha with him as she had never visited Slottsholmen despite hearing about it multiple times from Björn and the family. Plus Anna, Calle, and their small family had always been fond of Agnetha.

But for now, Agnetha and Björn were in Stockholm with the rest of their family. It was a typical Monday morning in mid May and the family as usual were eating breakfast while Linda and her clan were getting ready to head to the stables to check on the horses as well as for another day of training ahead of Esther's showjumping competition this coming weekend. Agnetha and Björn agreed to come along as they had always been fond of their granddaughters and their favorite pastime which was clearly evident in their YouTube channel, which they named Team Nytorp.

"Beautiful day out, isn't it?" Björn asked as he turned to Agnetha as they headed out of the house and walked over to the stables.

"Yeah, it's even more beautiful when I'm with you and the family," Agnetha replied as she peered through her sunglasses.

The pair made it to the stables and met up with Linda and her clan as well as some of the others that were there, including some of their close family friends. Soon enough, Agnetha and Björn had to back away as Esther and her friend, Estelle, began recording their next video for their channel. If Agnetha and Björn were to appear in them together or individually, they would never hear the end of it.

"I can never forget the day I taught Linda how to ride a horse and now our granddaughters love horses as well. They're just like their mother," Agnetha gushed as she and Björn took a seat on one of the benches as Esther and her friend practiced.

"And all the competitions we would have to drive her to. And now she's been doing the same thing for almost 15 years now," Björn replied.

"Yeah, time flies when you're having fun. It just slips through your fingers," Agnetha sighed.

"Do you ride a horse too, Anna?"

"Oh no. I can't possibly do that. At least not anymore."

"We should ride together one day. It'll be fun."

"Björn, are you crazy?! What makes you say that?!" Agnetha exclaimed.

"Shh...Agnetha, lower your voice. The girls are still recording. Remember?" Björn replied.

"Sorry...I just —," Agnetha replied sadly.

"Agnetha, it's ok sweetheart. You forgot that they were still recording that's all."

"I'll just go. I already ruined their video just by shouting at you," Agnetha said emotionally as she got up and walked away.

Björn quickly followed behind Agnetha as they walked back into the house. Björn couldn't help but notice the silent tears Agnetha was shedding as he walked into the living room and saw her seated on the couch.

"Anna baby, you didn't ruin their video. They can always edit that part out. It's amazing what we can do with technology these days," Björn said reassuringly.

"I know Björn," Agnetha sighed. "I'm not upset about that."

"What's bothering you?"

"Everything," Agnetha sighed.
