I Won't Let You Go

Chapter 42

Agnetha continued cradling her dying babies as she cried and cried and begged and pleaded for them to live. It was a very emotional situation indeed so as Agnetha was cradling Kaylee and Danielle over to her, Linda snuck out of the room and urgently called in a doctor to come over to assess the situation. As that was happening, the thoughts that invaded Agnetha's mind as she held Danielle and Kaylee close included:

Please girls!

Please don't die!

I'm so sorry!

You don't understand how hard it was for me to have you both!

You girls have brought so much joy into my life!

And now it's my fault it's being taken away from me!

All of a sudden!

Please I can't lose you both!

Or at least one of you!

I need you both to live!

Please! Please!

I'm begging you!

I'll spend more time with you both!

I promise!

The doctor and his team, who were based in Ekerö, and were specialized in handling all sorts of cases from a nasty head cold to dealing with premature babies including Kaylee and Danielle. When they arrived at the huge farmhouse, Christian led them to his parent's bedroom and from there, the doctor throughly examined both babies. Both babies were making significant improvements already. Danielle had stopped shaking and her tiny and fragile body was beginning to warm up once more along with Kaylee's but Kaylee was still shaking.

"Ok Agnetha, your girls will be ok. But for the next few days, you're going to have to hold them constantly or else they won't live. They HAVE to have your love. It's the only way premature babies like your two little ones can survive and become stronger and healthier," the doctor firmly announced as soon as he finished his examination.

"Ok doctor," Agnetha quietly nodded as the tears kept rolling down her face and she looked down at her two babies, who were still laying on her chest. Kaylee and Danielle were both looking up at their mother. Kaylee was sucking her thumb, while Danielle was staring at her mother as if she were pleading and saying: Please Mama, spend some time with us! We will die without you! Listen to Papa, Linda, Christian, Tilda and the doctor, it's for our own good!

Agnetha kissed both girls on their tiny foreheads and held them closer on her chest. Kaylee continued to suck her thumb and soon enough, she started getting fussy and began grabbing Agnetha's breasts, indicating that she was hungry. Agnetha quietly began breastfeeding Kaylee while Danielle was still laying on her chest while the doctor and the others looked with smiles on their faces. The doctor packed up his things and made a quick announcement as he began leaving the room.

"Alright guys! Looks like everything is going good right now. If you guys need anything just call me and in case of an emergency, don't hesitate to call 112! You guys have my business card!" The doctor announced.

"Thank you doctor!" Björn replied.

The doctor and his team left shortly afterwards as Linda helped Agnetha switch Kaylee to her other breast as Linda herself held Danielle, who started getting fussy as well but calmed down to the sound of Linda's voice. Kaylee finished feeding shortly afterwards and Linda handed Danielle over to Agnetha while Agnetha herself handed Kaylee over to Linda. Once Danielle was finished, Linda gave Kaylee back to Agnetha and both babies laid on Agnetha's chest for the rest of the day. They needed it after all. They desperately needed it.
