I Won't Let You Go

Chapter 44

Several days had passed since the incident and it was now 3 am the following Monday. Linda and Jens were on feeding duty as usual as Agnetha and Björn soundly slept. Well, Agnetha wasn't necessarily sleeping soundly. She was in distress and it was heartbreaking to watch. It was the result of a very horrible nightmare she was having.

It was a bright winter day in January 1994. Agnetha was planning on traveling to Jönköping and surprising her parents at their small apartment that they had lived in pretty much all throughout their lives. She knew that her parents had been feeling ill so it was worth it for her to make the three hour drive from Stockholm and Ekerö to Jönköping. She had missed them so much. She and Björn had recently gotten back together and they just had two little baby girls together and because Agnetha's parents had been ill, Björn and Agnetha knew that this could be the first and only time Kaylee and Danielle, their two baby girls would be able to meet Birgit and Ingvar.

Björn and Agnetha drove with Kaylee and Danielle to Jönköping with Björn in the driver's seat and Agnetha in the front passenger seat. Agnetha was happy that she will be introducing the two babies to their Mormor and Morfar. After a peaceful three hour drive through the Swedish countryside, Björn, Agnetha, Danielle, and Kaylee arrived in Jönköping at last. They took Kaylee and Danielle out of the car with the two babies still inside their baby carriers as they climbed up the stairs to the apartment where Birgit and Ingvar were living in.

Birgit and Ingvar greeted their daughter and son in law and gushed over the two little babies sound asleep in their carriers. Agnetha allowed Ingvar to hold Kaylee and Birgit to hold Danielle before Kaylee ended up in Birgit's arms and Danielle in Ingvar's. After another while, Ingvar and Birgit handed the babies back to their parents while Björn and Ingvar decided to go out for a walk and Kaylee and Danielle had their nap. Agnetha also decided to relax while Birgit had seemingly disappeared without a trace. Agnetha immediately became concerned about her mother and started looking for her.

"Mama! Where are you?" Agnetha asked as she continued looking around the apartment in search for her mother.

"Mama!" Agnetha called out one more time.

Agnetha looked around the apartment in circles until she finally found out where Birgit was. Birgit was standing on the very edge of the apartment balcony looking down.

"MAMA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET AWAY FROM THERE!" Agnetha shouted.

However, it was to no avail. Birgit turned around and looked at her eldest daughter with a blank look on her face before turning back around. Without hesitation, Birgit threw herself from her balcony as Agnetha watched in horror.

"MAMA!" Agnetha exclaimed as she watched her mother commit suicide.

And with that being said, her nightmare had ended.

"MAMA!" Agnetha exclaimed as her nightmare ended.

Björn immediately woke up upon hearing her along with the fact that she was flailing around in her sleep. Björn couldn't help but have his heart broken by the sight of her. He had a sense of what she had been dreaming about and it was very heartbreaking to say the least.

"Agnetha! Anna honey, wake up! It's just a dream I promise you!" Björn replied gently as he gently nudged Agnetha on the shoulder, waking her up for good.

Agnetha immediately woke up and saw the concerned look on Björn's face. She knew right there and then that it was just a nightmare that she had. But either way, Agnetha couldn't help but burst into tears and have a breakdown, even if it was just past 3 am. Björn held Agnetha tightly and held her for a long long time. She needed it. She truly needed it.
