Chapter 14

As I walked away from Tou-san and Haku's grave, I felt two similar presence from the other day when we first fought with Tou-san. I turned my head, but saw nobody there. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me..

Daddy decreased his pace to walk next to me. I still had Kubikiribocho on my shoulders.

"Sakura..I believe now is the time I tell you things.." He said.

I looked at him confused and remembered what Tou-san said before he died.

"The truth?" I asked. He nodded.

He took a deep breath and begin,"The reason Zabuza left you and treat you so badly is because he loves you and cares for you so much. He wants to protect you. He doesn't want you to stay by him for he is an S-class criminal. He wants you to be in good hands. Under a skilled shinobi and stay in a safe and bright village. He wants to grant you a bright future. From time to time,he visits you from a distance. Your brother too. On your birthday, they will always be there. They will eventually meet each other and hand you presents. It explains the two extra presents I got for you on your birthday. They requested me to claim it as my gift for you. They didn't know that I noticed them and their intentions." He stopped and looked at me while I was shocked. "Sakura, you are loved. Don't forget that. Although they are gone, they are still in your heart. Your brother watched over you from the shadows and I'm right here. I love you, Sakura. Althought I'm not your biological father, I love you with all my heart. I love you like my very own daughter. The best daughter a father can ever have." He smiled and me and I cried.

"Daddy!!!" I dropped my sword and jumped on him. He caught me and hugged me tightly. I could feel his tear drops on my shoulders. "I love you too, daddy" I sobbed happily.

"Sakura-chan! You have us too! Believe it!" Naruto said.

"Hn." Sasuke smiled for the first time.

I broke free from daddy's embrace and ran to them and give them a bone crushing hug.

"Thank you,guys!! Thank you so very much!!!" They returned the hug despite the lack of oxygen.

I let go of them and took my sword. I turned it to a small size and connect it on a chain. I made a necklace out of it and hung it on my neck.

We continued our journey happily. I looked up at the sky and whispered,"Don't worry, Tou-san. I have another family here. I hope you and Haku will find peace. Remember to visit me!" I chuckled. I continued again,"I'm happy, Tou-san, Haku. I love you. Both of you. Aniki, where ever you are, I'd love to see you again. Criminal or not, you are still my beloved brother which I have always adored." I smiled to the sky and catch up with them.

As soon as we arrived at our village, we reported to the Hokage. We left home to rest before receiving new missions.

~AT NIGHT~

When I was about to sleep, I kept thinking of my father and Haku. When I close my eyes, I could see how they died in front of my eyes. How their life force fade away. How Haku's blood bleed out from her body profusely.

"Dammit." I sat up and cuddle my head in my knees.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in." I muttered.

Daddy opened the door and asked,"Can't sleep?" I nodded.

He walked over and climbed into my bed and hugged me.

"Good night, my little cherry blossom." He wished and kissed my forehead.

"Good night, daddy" I wished and kissed his cheeks.

I cuddled in his strong arms and slept peacefully in his warmth. Thank you, daddy..
