Chapter 40

"The Hill Village have quite a nice view, isn't it?" I said as I breathe in the fresh air.

"Sure is.." Temari said while looking at the breathtaking view.

"You better close your mouth or an insect will fly inside." Kankuro laughed. Temari immediately shut her mouth and glared at Kankuro. I giggled and saw Gaara looking me. I blushed and grinned at him. He noticed and looked elsewhere.

"Come on, lets head to the palace first." Daddy said.

"Alright." I said and followed him.

After we reached palace gates, we gaped at it.

"..."

"Wow.."

"Holy..."

"Oh my..."

".."

A guard snapped us out of it and smiled.

"The King wants to see you." He said and we followed him.

We walked inside to find a lot of hallways and stairs. It's like a freaking maze in here! Hell, I can't be here alone or I'm gonna get lost. We saw a lot of paintings on the wall. I was too busy looking around that I didn't notice we stopped in front of a door. I kept walking until Gaara grab me from behind.

"You will hit the door if you continue walking." He whispered. I looked at him and to the front, then blushed.

"Hehe..whoops.." I giggled sheepishly. "Thank you." I smiled.

"Welcome." He smirked.

The guard opened the door and lead us to an old man sitting on a throne. It is a very large room. I found another old woman sitting next to the man on a smaller throne. The King and Queen presumably.

"You are the ninjas from Konoha, correct?" The King asked.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Daddy answered.

"I suppose you have received all the information."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Very well, you shall stay here for the night and start your quest tomorrow as it is now very late." The King said.

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

"My servant will lead you to your respective rooms." The King said ordering his butler next to him.

"You may call me Saburo." The butler said.

"We shall excuse ourselves then. Good day, Sir." Daddy said and followed Saburo.

He led us to another hallway and stopped. There were many doors located along the hallway.

"You may choose any room you wish to stay in. Feel free to ask anyone for acquaintances. May I warn you about our younger prince which has quite a personality, please forgive him."

"Alright, thank you." Daddy said.

"I shall excuse myself then." He said and went off.

"Choose your rooms and unpack your things. Come to my room in 10 minutes. We need to discuss about the places." Daddy said and entered the first room.

I entered the room next to his. Wow.. My room looks so luxury. The walls are painted a gold cream colour with dark red linings. The king sized bed is a cream colour. There is balcony and an adjoined bathroom. I quickly unpacked my things and entered daddy's room. We sat in a circle and looked at the mission scroll.

"So it says that there are 3 hideouts around here and the princess may be in one of them. The rogue ninjas caused a lot of trouble to the village, so quite a number of people saw them. It is estimated there are around 20 of them."

"Wow, that is a lot", I exclaimed.

"Yes, it seems they are grouped up from different places and planned to settle it here." Daddy said.

"So which hideout are we going to attack first?" Temari asked.

"That, we need to take a look at the map here." He answered.

"I'll go get the map then." I said and stood up.

"Do you know where you are going?" Daddy asked.

"I'll manage.. I can always ask someone to help out." I smiled reassuringly and walked out of the room.

Hmm.. let's see.. I should find for Saburo. I came from here, so I'll just take this lead. I thought and walked. I walked for a few moments and finally declared that I'm lost. How the hell did I get lost?? I slapped myself mentally.

"May I ask what is your purpose here?" A voice asked. I froze and looked behind me.
