Chapter 48

I woke up and felt a pair of arms around me. When I turned around, I found the pair of arms belonging to daddy. I smiled and thought of how days like these I'll wake up in the arms of my dad.

However, my mind would bring me back to the reason for such a day to appear. Kaa-san. I thought about the past and repeat it over and over again. I have calmed down after the tantrum I have thrown yesterday; now, I'm handling it maturely. I thought about it for awhile and heard a knock on the door. Who could it be? I thought and walked out of my room to the door.

I opened the door and saw the person I last wanted to see.

"Mebuki." I said in a monotone voice. I refused to call her mother.

"Sakura" She said with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, please forgive me. Live with me. We will be a family again."

"No, thank you. I accept your apology because you are happy with him now, aren't you?" Her face lightened up once she heard this. "I can forgive you,but I will never forget that day. My past. I don't need you nor do I want you. I'm already happy with the family I have now and I know they will love more than you ever can."

"Sakura.." She said, but I interrupted her by putting up my hand.

"Don't. I'm sorry for my attitude yesterday, but this ends our relationship. I don't have a mother. Don't come and find me. Leave me be before I change my mind." I said coldly.

She stood in front of me and smiled,"I'm glad that you are happy." Before she left, I called after her.

"Thank you for leaving that day. If not, I wouldn't have the chance to meet my family." I smiled and closed to the door. I sighed and walked to the kitchen but stopped on my steps.

"Daddy, you are awake." I said in surprise.

"I realised you were gone, so I wanted to check up on you." He said and stopped in front of me. "I'm proud of you. You finally faced your nightmare, but she is your mother.."

"I know, but she will be happier without me. I can't live with that guy and I don't want to." I turned to him and smiled. "I'd rather live with you for the rest of my life!"

He ruffled my hair and said,"You lived most of your life without a mother. You have the right to."

"I will have a mother if you find one." I winked. He blushed at my comment.

"You won't live me forever anyway. You will marry soon." He smirked back at me and I blushed.

"So you want to kick me out of the house now?" I pouted angrily.

"No! But I would be really happy to see you marry, although I will reluctantly pass you to anyone." He grinned sheepishly.

"I would have to move out before I have a mother. I don't want to ruin my ears at night." He blushed at this and I chuckled. "Don't abandon me when you marry." I said sadly.

"I won't, don't worry about it. You are my precious treasure." He said and hugged me. I smiled and pulled away.

"Time for breakfast!" I grinned happily.

"You might as well cook lunch while you are at it. It's pretty late." Daddy said.

"WHAAAAAAATT?!? I woke up late AGAIN?!?" I said with my eyes bulged out.
