Sakura Momochi Hatake || Naruto

Chapter 28

It's the night before the final tournament. My taijutsu greatly improved and I could handle Kubikiribocho better now.

"Alright, Sakura. Tomorrow is the day. Make your daddy and I proud!" He grinned and gave me a thumbs up.

"Yeah!" I beamed. "Gai sensei, why isn't daddy here yet?"

"I don't know, Sakura.." He answered truthfully. I was worried and panicked inside after I thought about Orochimaru.

Pakkun seemed to notice. "He is fine, Sakura. He said he need to spend as much time as he can to train Sasuke."

Upon hearing that, I relaxed a little.

"You should rest well, Sakura. Tomorrow is a big day." Gai sensei said.

"Yeah, thank you Gai sensei." I bowed and head home.

I packed my things for tomorrow. Shurikens, senbon needles and kunais. Before I sleep, I cleaned Kubikiribocho.

"Hey, Tou-san. It's the final tournament tomorrow. Wish me luck. Good night Tou-san." I kissed it and sealed it to a smaller size and connect it on my necklace.

~FINAL TOURNAMENT~

Finally, it is the last test for the Chunnin exam. Daddy isn't here yet, but I calmed myself not to worry. Surprisingly, Naruto won against Neji. I was happy for him. He sure has grown.

When Shikamaru fought, he could win with his strategy. Temari fell for it, but Shikamaru forfeited because he said it was troublesome. Everyone sweat dropped.

It's already my battle. Before I stepped down, a hand grabbed my shoulder. I spun around and saw someone I was waiting for since he left.

"Daddy!" I squealed and jumped on him for an embrace.

He hugged me tightly and kissed my forehead. "Save your greetings for later. Good luck, Sakura!" He smiled.

I beamed and said,"Yes, daddy!"

I vanished and appeared in the arena with determined eyes. I looked at Dosu straight in the eye.

"You and I have an issue to complete." I said with smirked.

"Indeed we do." He said and smirked.

"Begin!" Hayate said.

I charged at him with incredible speed. My left leg strikes towards his right side, but blocked by his right hand. The hand with that 'thing'. Sound was released from it.

"The same trick doesn't work twice, Dosu" I smirked and punched his face while he was recovering from his shock.

"H-How..?" He stuttered.

"That's for you to figure out." I strike again.

I sped up and kicked him, but his right hand caught my leg. I turned around and kicked him with my left leg. He caught both of my legs and I balanced myself with my hands on the ground. I pulled both of my legs and did a back flip and stood on the ground. He tried to punch me with his right hand, but I arched my back. Quickly, my right leg kicked him where the Sun doesn't shine. He screamed as he dropped on the ground and growled at me.

"You little...brat!" He was in terrible pain and I smirked, resisting to laugh.

"Winner, Sakura Hatake!"

Cheers were from everywhere. Next is.. Gaara and Sasuke. I furrowed my brows.

As I walked up the stairs, I heard screams. I ran up, but stopped when I saw Gaara walking down like nothing happened. I gulped. The screaming stopped in an instant after it started.

"G-Gaara.." I said.

He just walked past me like I was nothing. No.. This isn't Gaara! I but my lip and continued to walk. Without me noticing, I was lifted and twirled around by daddy. I giggled.

"Daddy! I missed you!" I reached out both of my hands. He pulled my closer and hugged me and I did the same.

"Me too, Sakura. Me too" He said.

I snuggled my head in the crook of his neck and smell his scent. Daddy is back.. With no harm. I'm glad.. I smiled.

He pulled away and put me down.

"So how is my daughter's training?" He asked.

"It was great! I greatly improved my taijutsu! And I can use Kubikiribocho better now!" I grinned.

"That's great to hear, my little cherry blossom." He said and ruffles my hair. I pouted at him and he laughed. It is good to have daddy back.

I turned to watch the following tournament. Daddy held my shoulder reassuringly. I couldn't help but worry about both of them. Afraid that Sasuke will get killed or unable to become a shinobi for getting injured too badly like Lee and afraid that Gaara will lose control. Most importantly, afraid that the One Tailed Beast will break free.
