Chapter 20: Fight till the end pt 2

Sawyer cringed as a scream left Ravens mouth. Clarke had been patching her up, "That should stop the external bleeding" Clarke said putting the heated knife down

"I don't understand. How did Murphy get a gun?" Finn asked looking up at Bellamy. "Long story" Bellamy said trying to brush it off  

"We got lucky. If Murphy hit the fuel tank instead of me, we'd all be dead" Raven said looking up 

"Wait there's rocket fuel down there? Enough to build a bomb?" Sawyer asked shocked at how she didn't think of going down in the drop ship

"Enough to build 100 bombs... if we had any gunpowder left" 

"Let's get back to the reapers. Maybe they'll help us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?" Bellamy asked. Sawyer shook her head as memories of what happened in the tunnels flooded back

"Not this enemy, we saw them and trust me its not an option" Sawyer said shaking her head 

"There's no time for this" Finn groaned "Can she walk or not?" he whispered "no, we have to carry her" Clarke said looking down. "The hell you will, i"m good to go" Raven said trying to sit up 

 Clarke stopped her and scolded her  "Hey, listen to me. That bullet is still inside you. If by some miracle, there's no internal bleeding, it might hold until we get somewhere safe. But you are not walking there. Is that clear?" 

"I'll get the stretcher" Finn said walking away. "Can't run away fast enough, huh? Real Brave" Bellamy mocked

"Dying in a fight you can't win isn't brave Bellamy, it's stupid" Finn argued 

"Bellamy is right, this idea is really bad. How are we supposed to discretely escape with 80 teenagers, the grounders will find us and they use trees, we'll all be on the ground-" Sawyer was cut off by Clarke 

"We don't have time for this, the plan is set now let's go" 

"If they follow? Its a 120 mile walk to the ocean!" Bellamy said

 "Look we're wasting time, if he wants to stay he can stay!" Finn yelled walking out Clarke following him

"No he can't!" Sawyer yelled before walking up in front of Bellamy "We can't do this without you Bellamy" Sawyer said 

"What do you want me to say Sawyer?" Bellamy asked looking into the girls blue eyes 

"I want you to say that you're with us, those kids out there, they listen to you" Sawyer argued. "They're lining up to go with Clarke" Bellamy said shaking his head 

"She gave them an easy choice. But 5 minutes ago, they were willing to fight and die for you. You inspire them. I'm afraid we're gonna need that again before this day is through" 

Sawyer said no more and walked out of the drop ship to find Peta

It was hard departing from the camp

"Okay, here we go!" "Keep your eyes open!" "Keep your eyes open!" Patrol yelled to the teens 

"You did good here Bellamy" Sawyer says turning to look at the devastated brunette. Peta's hand was intertwined with hers as they stood in the back watching everyone head out

"18 dead" Bellamy says disappointed

"82 alive! We did good" Sawyer stood up on her toes and pecked the boys cheek in hopes to lift his spirit. Bellamy reached down and picked up a can of water and dropped it on the fire setting it out 

Sawyer held her hand out which he grabbed, the 3 walked out holding hands. It wasn't long before Bellamy let go so he could hold his gun up 

"Why are we stopping?" Peta asks confused at the sudden cease of movement. Sawyer shrugged as her and Bellamy pushed their way through to figure out what happened 

"Grounders!" Jasper yelled. Gasps and screams filled the woods as everyone ran back to camp

"Peta run!" Sawyer yelled letting go of the girls hand "Take Fox and hide in the drop ship!" the girl nodded desperately and ran off with her red haired friend
