Chapter 29: The Chase

For the first time in a while Sawyer was actually sleeping. Atlas had forced the girl to bed after seeing how drained she was. So here she laid in her unit on her bed

Atlas on his bed watching her as she slept. His eyes couldn't leave her bruised neck, he stared in horror as he thought of all the ways she could have gotten the injury 

Cole laid under the covers next to the blonde girl asleep, it was hard for him to just watch her constantly run away from them. Bellamy had been walking down the hall to check on the girl 

Bellamy knocked on the unit door slowly. "Sawyer?" Bellamy was heard outside, Atlas stood up slowly and walked over to the door

Bellamy's face fell in shock at the sight of Atlas in her room. "Oh hey man I didn't even know you were in here" Bellamy stumbled as he looked at him uncomfortably

"Well we do share the unit so-" Atlas started. Bellamy tried to act like this wasn't new information to him even though it was "Oh yea" Bellamy said nodding. "She's sleeping, but if you wanna come in" Atlas said backing up so he could open the door. Bellamy nodded and slowly walked in the door

Bellamy walked up to the girls bed. He took a seat next to her and admired what laid in front of him . He softly stroked her hair as he watched her peacefully sleep. The peace was interrupted when the radio in his pocket went off 

"Blake! Clarke is back" 

Bellamy took the radio out of his pocket before saying "Coming now" 

Bellamy leaned forward and kissed the girls head softly before standing up and turning to look at Atlas who had his arms crossed over his chest 

"Um" Bellamy said coughing to avoid the clear awkwardness. "Just keep her here for a second, i'll be back once I find out what Clarke says" 

Atlas nodded and watched the boy walk out the door. He sat back down on his bed and sighed out in frustration 

He groaned as there was another knock on the door, he walked over and slowly opened it surprised to see Chris 

"Hey these are for Sawyer when she wakes up" Chris said shaking  a bottle of pills. Atlas nodded and backed up letting her father in the room 

He walked over and put them on her dressed "They're pain meds" Chris said as he turned to see his kids together in the bed peacefully asleep 

"Oh and I have these" Chris said remembering as he pulled out another bottle of pills from his pocket. "These are for her vocal cords, they're damaged so these will help" Chris explained 

Chris slowly walked to the door head down, "Um just wake her up to take those now if you don't mind" he said quietly. Atlas nodded "I'll take care of her" 

Chris turned and opened the door leaving down the hall. Atlas sighed before turning and slowly shaking the girl. "Sawyer" he whispered 

After trying to softly wake her, Sawyer groaned before slowly opening her eyes. She looked to the boy confused "Hey I don't mean to bother but you really gotta take these" he said shaking the pill bottle 

Sawyer groaned before sitting up. She hissed at the soreness in her body. Atlas opened the bottles and poured out 2 pain meds and 1 pill for her throat 

Sawyer held her hand out and Atlas dropped them in her hands before passing her the metal cup of water to her. Sawyer grabbed the cup, she filled her mouth with water before throwing all the pills in her mouth 

She threw her head back and swallowed hard, she whined in disgust at the feeling of the pills slide down her throat. "You ok?" Atlas asked staring at the girl unsure. She nodded before sliding back down in the bed
