Chapter 26: Another Grounder Massacre

Back in what was named Camp Jaha Abby and Chris we're on a search to find their missing teens 

"Did you know about this?" Abby asked bolting towards Raven, Chris followed behind and watched as Abby slammed down the note from Clarke and Sawyer 

"No" Raven lies. Abby sits down across from Raven "Sure, have a seat" Raven says sarcastically as she puts her cup down 

"Tell me where they went and you won't be in trouble" Abby compromised "Abby I-" Raven started only to be cut off by Abby who slammed her hands on the table standing up slowly 

Chris watched from behind trying to decide when to step in 

"Someone let them through the fence. Someone gave them guns" Abby whispered in a threatened tone. "I don't know what your talk-"  Abby cut Raven off as she slapped her across the face a loud noise resulting 

Chris gasped as he grabbed Abby throwing her back. "Never! Ever! Put your hands on a child" Chris yelled in disgust 

Cole comes running up "Atlas is gone too!" he said out of breath. Chris looked up and sighed running his hands down his face 

"She thinks that because of what she's been through she's changed, but she's still just a kid" Abby said loudly as she walked closer 

Raven shook her head disagreeing 

"You're wrong, Abby. She stopped being a kid the day you sent her down here to die" Raven stormed away leaving Chris there in shock before he took off dragging Cole along with him not liking the way Abby went about things

The group was walking through the woods following Octavia. Atlas still hadn't fully been used to the way they traveled so he just followed along watching, not speaking much 

Octavia went down a hill jumping through holes or logs. "Watch your step" Sawyer warned looking back. Atlas and Bellamy nodded and followed the girl's foot steps 

"This is it" Bellamy said pulling out a piece of paper "Which way to the village?" Bellamy asked. Octavia had no answer she just stared ahead in shock at something 

The group looked up observing their surroundings and the large statue in front "O?" Bellamy asked looking confused at the girl 

"The reapers came from there" Octavia said pointing her sword up. Sawyer and Bellamy lifted their heads trying to follow along. They looked back to Octavia who has tears streaming down her eyes 
 
Her body was shaking "I couldn't save him, Bell. I couldn't save him" Sawyer watched in sadness as Octavia broke down in her brothers arms

Gunfire was heard from a distance making the group stop. Sawyer was the first to take off running, gun up. Everyone else took off following the fast girl

Sawyer followed the screams and flinched in fear at the sound of more gun fire. Screams followed the gun fire making the group run even faster Bellamy and Atlas taking the lead 

Sawyer could hear someone yell "Finn" in the distance 

The sound of gun shots filled the entire woods. Sawyer gasped for air as she ran faster. They broke through the woods and Sawyer stopped in shock at the sight in front of her 

Bodies laid every where. Children cried out and Mothers held them, shielding them. Sawyer's head turned to see Murphy ducked in fear and Finn with his gun up in shock as he stared forward looking at the group who emerged from the woods

Sawyer was the first to drop down from the rocks as she took off in the direction of a child who was bleeding out. She dropped down at his side and lifted his head only to see his eyes closed. She looked for a pulse and felt none making her heart drop 

Octavia fell beside her and called out in shock "Artigas" 

"He's gone" Sawyer said disappointed

Sawyer stood up seeing Finn looking to her trying to get closer. She backed up in fear at who was in front of her. Finn turned his head to Clarke 

"I found you" he said making Clarke shake her head 

"Sawyer! He needs help" Sawyer's head whipped as she looked out for Atlas's cry. She ran to him

Atlas was leaning over a body, Sawyer bent down to see his hands covered in blood as he held down an open wound. Her head turned as she looked to Bellamy making eye contact with him sharing their fear
