The next morning, the Hobbits prepared to go to work. Snow White came outside to say goodbye to them.

Before leaving, Frodo gave his final warning.

"Remember, Snow, don't open the door to anyone, and beware of strangers."

"The queen will come back." Sam said. "Don't let anyone in."

"I'll remember."

Snow White bent down and kissed Frodo on the forehead.

"Goodbye, Frodo."

The Hobbit smiled and blushed.

"Goodbye, dear Snow."

Snow White kissed each one of the Hobbits and waved to them as they headed off to work, then she went back into the house and locked the door.

When the queen saw that the Hobbits have left, she went up to the door and knocked.

The princess heard the knock, and got a bit frightened.

"Who's there?"

"I'm farmer Willis's wife, selling fresh apples to all the neighbors of Hobbiton."

"I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to let anyone in. The Hobbits have forbidden me to do so."

"It's alright, dear child. I can still give away my apples. Come to the window and I'll show you one."

Snow White was scared to open the door to the stranger, but she was very curious to see the apples she had, so she went to the window to see the woman.

"Hello, dear one, would you like an apple?"

"No, I can't except one. I'm allowed to take anything from strangers."

"Are you afraid of poison?" The woman asked.

Snow White stood silent, afraid to admit it.

"Here, I'll eat a piece and I'll prove to you that it's safe."

The queen ate the bottom piece of the apple, making the girl no longer resist.

She stretched out her hand and took the apple from the woman.

"Go on, dear child, take a bite."

When the girl took a small bite from the apple, she fell to the floor, and died. The queen looked over the princess, as laughed; wickedly.

"White as snow, red as blood, black as ebony. This time, the Hobbits cannot awaken you."

The woman ran off from Bag End, going back into the portal.

When she got back home, she looked into her mirror, and asked one last time, "mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?"

And the mirror finally answered, "you, my queen, are the fairest of all."

The queen's life went back to normal, and her heart was at rest again.

She had finally killed Snow White once and for all.
