For many years, Snow White laid in the garden, and she never changed. She looked like she was asleep. During this time, the Hobbits separated.

Bilbo gave the inheritance of Bag End to Frodo and left for Rivendell. Merry and Pippin moved to Buckland to live with Merry's family, and Rosie went back to the village.

Frodo and Sam stayed in Bag End to look after Snow White.

Because Frodo was stricken with grief, he kept a vigil at the girl's side, refusing to eat or sleep.

Sam took care of Frodo and made sure he had everything he needed, but it wasn't enough.

Frodo loved the princess and gave her everything she ever wanted, but she died alone, and he couldn't save her.

One day, as he watched over her, Sam came and sat next to him to pay respects to Snow White.

"How are you, Mr. Frodo?"

"Same as always, Sam." The Hobbit replied. "Same as always."

Frodo looked at the beautiful girl, and saw something that he hadn't noticed in a long time.

"I see something in her, something that I've never seen in her before."

"What do you see, Mr. Frodo?" Sam asked.

"She still has color on her cheeks, and her skin is glowing like the shining sun. I've yet wondered, if she's still alive."

Sam began to see what his dear master was talking about.

"You're right, Mr. Frodo. Snow does have some life in her."

"How will she wake up?"

Sam, having heard great stories from Bilbo, and his old gaffer, began to think of how their beloved princess would wake up, then he found an answer.

"Mr. Frodo, my gaffer told me true love's kiss can break any spell. If Snow is under a spell, then it can revive her."

"Then who should be the one to do it?"

Sam didn't think he'd be the one to save the princess, due to the fact he loved Frodo, and cared for Rosie.

"You should do it, Mr. Frodo."

Frodo looked to his friend.

"Why me?"

"You knew Snow since she was 10 years old. I remember all the times you spent with her. You loved her, and we all knew it."

He took Frodo's hand.

"My dear Frodo, even though your heart was never meant to be mine, I'm glad you found happiness with our beloved princess. If she awakens from this eternal sleep, I wish you both the greatest love."

He leaned down and kissed Frodo's hand, then kissed him on the forehead.

Frodo smiled, with a tear streaming down his cheek.

"My dear Sam, you'll always have a special place in my heart."

With those words, Frodo let go of Sam's hand and went to Snow's side. He looked down upon her, seeing the life that glowed in her.

He leaned over and kissed the girl on the lips

He leaned over and kissed the girl on the lips. When he released himself, Snow White opened her eyes, coughing out the piece of apple that was stuck in her throat.

As she came to herself again, she saw Frodo, and smiled.

"Frodo."

"Snow!"

The two embraced each other as Sam looked on.

They were happy that their princess was alive again.
