Sunday is the last day of our weekend getaway. Kendal had Jérôme locked-down all day yesterday, so he didn't have any time to talk to me. Their relationship has always been odd; its heavily one-sided, and it seems Jérôme isn't fully invested. Kendal seems like the type of girl to mold herself into whatever Jérôme desires. There isn't much debt to her because she wastes her time on an emotionally-unavailable guy like Jérôme. There is this detachment with him, and I can not pinpoint why it's there or where it comes from, I'm not a psychologist but its there. You would not be able to see it unless you were looking for it. From what I've gathered by observing them for the past two days, they look like the picture-perfect couple. They both have everything going for them; both come from a family of means, have fabulous jobs, and their families like each other. It could be a picture-perfect romance. But something is off; Kendal wants to be too perfect around Jérôme. I find it funny that she comes across to others as dominating, overly-confident, and bossy. But around Jérôme, she like a docile little puppy. On the other hand, Jérôme seems like he is searching for something in his life. He has everything, but even having it all isn't good enough for him. IAs I lay in bed staring up intensively at the ceiling, apart of me should have left yesterday. I should have gone with Christine and Dante. The nerves in my stomach spoke to my lapse in judgment. But there was something else I needed to find out. I need to go back to the Winehouse, for I have unfinished business there. Jérôme's office had so many papers inside of it, for a Winehouse. Where there is an office, there will always be papers. But why was an office in a Winehouse? That's odd to me. Then it hit me what if Jérôme is apart of The Anonymous. That would mean he knows or is allegedly responsible for Jessica's disappearance.
Four months ago, with the advisement Ashton, Jérôme reported Jessica missing. Since then, he has been on numerous talk-shows, interviews, and has even cooperated with the FBI. He has spent millions of dollars on search and rescue efforts canvassing upstate New York's rural Forrest. Though I haven't been an active participant due to my obligations, I have been following up on all the details regarding Jessica Ford's disappearance. I just can't see Jérôme as a person of interest in her disappearance. He seems like a family. We've had a personal conversation where he disclosed how much he loved his grandmother, and when she died, it broke his heart. She even left him her gold ring, which he wears on his pinky figure.
I can't see someone like Jérôme, someone raised by women growing up to be a monster. What if I'm over-analyzing, what if there is a reasonable explanation for why he took my phone? Perhaps, he wanted to protect me from Ashton. I leaned across the night table to look at my old phone. All those heartfelt text messages from Ashton stopped communicating with me one month ago. When all those pictures of him and Amanda Eastwood appeared all over social media and news outlets, perhaps he moved on and found someone better. No to mention Jermone went back into his wine house early this morning. I saw him from the window; he didn't look horrified; he seemed unbothered. Perhaps I should talk to him and see his reaction.
Bradley is leaving today; I have the choice to go with him. This will be my last opportunity to get away from Jérôme. Kendal left early in the morning because she had a meeting in London. I was too hungry to think of a clear decision, so I went downstairs for lunch. Bradley was already there eating and texting on his phone.
"Hey, you're not dressed?"
"Yeah, I decided to stay."
"I'm pretty tired. I'll leave tomorrow with Jérôme."
"Are you sure? Isn't it going to rain?
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Alright, well, you have my number you can always text me."
