As staring into his eyes. I wanted to kiss him again, again, and again; continuously over and over. But why complicate an already complicated matter. Ashton and I, will probably never have a chance in this whirlwind of a scooby-boo mystery anyway. I planted a kiss on his cheek and he began to rub my lower side. Gently he pulled me in closer to his lips. I never knew how affectionate Ashton could be. I definitely preferred the softer side of him.Ashton's eyes shift quickly towards the laptops to a notification altering him, "The search is complete." he said under his breath. He manured his arm around me resumed typing away at his keyboard as if I wasn't sitting on his lap. All I could do is smell his hair which always seem to smell divine. A subtle scent from some men's shampoo. Need I say, the smell of his hair was only divine to me because it came from him. "Got it." "I got the trace on your dad's phone," His words brought me back to reality." "How juvenile." " I should be able to pinpoint the location of the phone using the cell towers." "First I need to hack into his cell phone provider. This may take some time." Ashton said leaning back in the stool meeting my eyes. "Aeon, I'm sure you have some phone calls to make." He advised handing me back my phone.
"Yeah alright." I nodded my head and walked to the Balcony, looking threw my phone. I must have seen 50 unread messages.
Ring ring ring
"Hi, mom!"
"Aeon, Oh My God! Aeon have you seen the .... your father is... is he really... he is.. he...." her voice cracked unable to complete the sentence.
Where have you been, I've been calling you all day. Her voice sound frantic. I've never heard her sound like this before. It broke my heart knowing that I wasn't right by her side. I know mom I'm sorry. Honey, I don't know why or how this happened. They called me to the morgue to identify a few of his items.
As she broke down sobbing. I could hear my aunts in the background comforting her.
They said he's been dead for weeks. That means he was never away on business. "who the hell have I've been talking to Aeon?"
"Mom," "I'm trying to figure that out now."
"What??" how?" her voice was clearer, yet, frantic.
"Ashton is good at hacking computers." He's tracing the number as we speak.
"Hunny, please let the police do their jobs." " I don't want you or Ashton mixed up in this mess. There is certainly more to the story." "We just have to be patient."
I felt so helpless and useless. I knew I could not tell my mother the truth without revealing everything. I wanted to comfort her so bad and tell her that she can rely on me. But for now, perhaps, it's best to stay quiet.
"I don't understand how this happened. Your father was never the type of man to be mixed up in shady dealings." "This all doesn't make any sense. The timeline isn't even adding up. He was supposed to be on a business trip. If that the case then, he never went on his business trip and everything from the moment he left has been a lie." "Aeon I'm shaking with fear. I can't stay in this house." I'm going to stay with aunt Jenny's for a while."
"Mom," "I'll be over there shortly."
I hung up the phone and continued to stroll through messages. I notice one from The Anonymous and my heart sake
