I had a lot on my mind, Jérôme being a murderer, the next case to look into, and the talk of the town interview at the end of the week. I had so many confusing thoughts about Unknown that I did not want to address. I wanted to fall for him. But how could you like someone that you can't even see? I haven't even texted him back. If he shows up at my window again, I will not open it. He will freeze.

I pulled up my laptop and decided to reach out to the Smart family on Facebook. At first, Ashton didn't say anything about Asia going missing when I got the letter from The Anonymous. They kidnapped her to get something out of me. When Ashton left, I tried reporting her as missing several times, but it never reached the news. It seems as if no one cared. Police officers told me she probably wanted a fresh start. When has that ever been a thing? I scrolled threw her mother's Facebook page and saw an address in Queens: 173-33 140th st Astoria Queens 11103.

Later that day, Foxy and I went for a walk to clear my head. I look down at my phone and saw text messages from Unknown.

"Hey. Remember, don't go on missions without me."

I look down bitterly on my phone. That's that all he had to say, no, hey, I'm sorry for treating you like an escort. I find to know what to say. I thought about sending him an entire passage outlining my feeling and how he made me felt. I thought about blocking him.

Me and foxy went into the coffee shop, where I got a latte and for her a doggy treat. It must be nice to be a dog everything is simple, not complicated at all. No possessive guy dogs tanning her youthful and joyous mood. I slowly walked back to my apartment with my latte in hand, contemplating my decision to sleep with Unknown. Then I promised myself to him. All to get fucked like a rag doll in a dingy motel. What is life? I was already circling the drain of depression, and this guy is going to fuck me up. Perhaps it was just my mind shaming me and causing me to regret everything I did with him because I wasn't entirely over Asthon. I was fooling myself. I stood in the lobby, waiting for the elevator to come down. Finally, coming up with a reply back to Unknown, I texted a simple: "Sure."

Just as the elevator opened, I bent down to pick up Foxy. She lay on the floor speared out; I'm not surprised she usually gets tired of walking: spoiled dog. A tall man stepped out fast like he owned the place, I back up quickly to avoid getting knocked over by him. "Excuse me, asshole," I yelled after him.

The man snapped his head around as soon as he heard the A word. I flinched scared he was going to charge at me. His light-green eyes stared back at me, as all the blood rushed from my face. It was a good thing; I was wearing shades and a baseball cap. I snapped my head away from him and scurried into the elevator and rapidly pressed the "close door" button.

He walked fast into my direction and used his arm to stop the door, "Hey, what are you doing?"

Foxy started braking happily at him.

"Aeon," he said in an annoyed tone. While entering the elevator.

Foxy was trying to wiggle her way out of my arms to run to the stranger. "No, Foxy stranger danger."

"I know it's you, Aeon. Why do you run from me?"

I ignored his question, "How did you find me?"

"It wasn't hard."

The elevator stopped on my floor. I walked out, hoping Ashton would not follow."This is a nice apartment," he said, catching up to me.

"What do you want?" I said blankly.

"To see you. It's been a long time. I miss you."

"Yeah, well, I'm busy," I said speeding up my walk.
