My phone dings with a message, as I lay in bed with a million things running through my mind. After Chelsea left I went to bed but I couldn't fall asleep because of everything going through my brain. It's now 7:38 and I should be getting ready for school, but I can't seem to make myself get out of bed. I look at my phone that lays on the pillow next to me in bed and I try decide if I'm going to look at the message or not. I finally decide to pick up my phone and read the message.
It's a message from Chelsea saying, "Bailey officially broke up with me, she's all yours now." I suddenly feel like a small weight has been lifted off my chest and I decide it's time to face the day.
20 minutes later I'm in my car wearing a Fall Out Boy hoodie, black joggers, and black high top vans. School starts in 2 minutes, but I don't really care so I take my time driving to school. Once I make it to the school and parking lot I stay sitting in my car looking at the pictures on Bailey's Instagram account.
The one before the soccer game catches my eye. It is the picture of Bailey and I in front of the mountains and the caption says, "If I could choose anyone to be here with, I'd choose you😘🤞." I feel a smile growing on my face. And with that smile I get out of my car and head into the school with confidence.
The periods come and go at a crawl but it's finally time for lunch. I stand on my toes running my eyes through the cafeteria for Bailey. I'm disappointed to find that she isn't in the cafeteria and head to the hallway to look around for her.
As I'm walking I hear voices from down a hallway off the side of the hallway I'm in. I carefully peek around the corner to see Bailey and Chelsea arguing, and Bailey seems to be crying.
"Why do you like her though? Why not me?" Chelsea yells clearly irritated.
"Chelsea I- no, answer the question!" Chelsea yells interrupting Bailey.
That's when I can't take her anymore, Bailey doesn't deserve to be yelled at because of me, so I walk into the hallway and straight to them.
"Chelsea, stop. This is my fault." I say.
"What? How is this your fault?" Chelsea says confused.
"Because I somehow impressed Bailey enough that she ended up liking me. Which honestly, I don't deserve her love, I've done nothing but cause her pain ever since I came here. And, since everyone likes her and want to be with her they've been fighting with me over her. She doesn't deserve to be put through so much pain just because she likes me, so don't take it out on her, take it out on me." I say looking straight into Chelsea's eyes in all seriousness.
"Hmph, well I have nothing to say to you then." Chelsea says and then walks away.
I turn to Bailey after she's out of the hallway and say, "I'm so sorry."
"Honestly I think we're both at fault here, especially since we both have been going through all of this drama together." She says with a small soft smile.
I smile back and wrap my arms around her. We stay like that in silence until the bell rings and when it does I lace my fingers with hers and we walk to class. And even with all the weird looks, glares, and winks we get we just keep smiling because we deserve some sunshine after all the rain we've just had...
A/N:
They deserved a happy chapter.
