*Michelle*

"We're going to the hospital." Andrew said once we had gotten into the dining room where everyone was seated.

Once those words erupted from his mouth, everyone's head turned our way with scanning eyes.

"Jeez guys. Can you be a little more discreet?" I said and they smiled but the smile didn't last as long as it would have on a normal day.

"Go on. Just try to not bring any more children back home, ok?" Chase said and this time, everyone laughed.

With that, Andrew and I were on our way out after bidding them goodbye.

Once I had my belt on, Andrew shut my door for me and rushed to the other side of the car to drive.

We drove in silence for two minutes or thereabout before he spoke, "I meant what I said Michelle. I am willing to tell Mum and Dad right now."

I sighed before speaking, "I just don't understand why you didn't want to tell them from the start anyways. Anna will be overjoyed if anything."

"Rick isn't any better and everyone is shying away from their responsibilities so it all lies on me. It's difficult juggling that and the kids too."

"Don't give me that bullshit excuse Andrew. You may not be a waste of space husband but do not push your boundaries. Don't."

He didn't respond at that and I lay back and shut my eyes.

"Mich? Come on baby, wake up." I heard Andrew mutter as he shook me lightly.

I tried opening my eyes but I was tired. I was way too tired to open my eyes or tell him that so I just left my eyes closed.

*Andrew*

I had been persistently shaking Michelle for the past ten minutes but she had refused to respond in any form or manner and this was not like Michelle.

She was always a light sleeper and I was beginning to feel worried that she may be feeling worse than she let on.

"Baby?" I whispered once more and with trepidation, I checked for a pulse and there was next to nothing.

I gulped once more before reassuring myself that that was the wrong spot.

"Can I help you sir?" I heard a female patrol officer ask.

I couldn't bring myself to remove my eyes from Michelle to look at the woman but I could feel myself shaking my head.

"Do you know how to check a- a pulse?" I asked and I could barely breathe at this point.

"Step aside sir." she said and I did just that, never letting go of Michelle's hand.

She felt the same spot I had felt just a moment ago and without hesitation, whipped out her walkie talkie or whatever before rambling into it.

"I need a stretcher at the parking lot. Right next to entrance A. Bentley. Plate number's W1N5T0N. Stat!"

I had to remind myself to breathe for Michelle. I could not not do that for her after all the pain I've put her through today.

"You've got to be strong for me. There is no way Andrea wants to see you anytime soon so get your ass back here where it belongs."

Before I was done with my not so motivating speech, a stretcher was rushed to the car and I was pushed aside as they carried my wife onto the stretcher and started spewing jargon.

I walked beside her and held onto her hand the way I hoped she was holding onto her life.

Once we were inside and people realised who we were, it didn't take more than a few seconds to get us one of the biggest private rooms in the hospital.
