"Come on smile mum. This is the last picture I'll have of you looking like this. When you'll come back, you'll be fat and tanned and hot and wouldn't even believe this is you." Derek said with a cheeky smile.
"Yeah and hopefully not pregnant." Danny said.
"I'll work on that son." Dad replied with a grin while the driver lugged all their suitcases into the car.
"Ok Cyril I want you right behind me, ok?" Dad said to the driver.
We were all following them to the dock and leaving them there as that was the only thing that would calm Mia down so Cyril was driving us and Dad was driving mum and Mia.
"Let's get this party started!!" Danny said with the iPad in his hand, rushing towards the car.
"One would think you are eager to ship us off." Mum said in her short sunflower dress.
"Umm mum? That's cos we are." Derek replied earning himself a giggle and slap upside the head from Mum.
"iPad? Check. Money? Check. Keys? Check. Ok, I think we're good to go guys." Mum ticked off glancing around worriedly.
"We'll be fine mum. It's just for two weeks." Alex said rubbing her back soothingly.
"Yeah btw, I have a sleepover with some of my friends next tomorrow so yeah." April added tapping away at her phone.
"Which friends?" Dad asked coming in.
"Friends dad. You know, people you like and hang out with. Not rapists."
"Fine but Alexa has to see their parents."
"I'm not a child for God's sake!"
"I'd think that's quite obvious sweetie." Mum said with a pointed look at her before herding us all out of the house and into the car.
"Byeeeeeeeeee!" Mia called and jumped into the backseat of the car Dad and Mum were following.
"Ok I love you guys, alright?" Mum said kissing all of us on the forehead, "and Lexie and Alex are in charge so no nonsense. And buckle in Daniel!"
"Two weeks." Alex reminded her, kissing her on the cheek before shutting the doors.
She and Dad waved at us before they got into their car and the 'party started'.
"Who wants to play monopoly?" Daniel asked waving the iPad as we drove out.
"Me!" chorused Derek and Alex.
I got comfy and dug in to my Danielle Steel novel before I slept off.
*Alex*
"You played for me you giraffe!" Danny shouted at Derek.
"Cos you were an acting like an idiot and don't call me a giraffe, toad!"
"Rat!"
"Guinea pig!"
"Fish!"
"Bitch!"
