-HANS
"Augustus!" I yell from my cell. It had been days since I had last seen my brother. I was left with no food, nor water, and I could feel myself growing weaker. I know in my brother's eyes, this is what I deserve, but I knew that I am innocent, I don't deserve this!
"Augustus... please. Please!" I slide down the cell door in defeat. No one is coming. I have to accept the fact that he sees me as a traitor. His words remain engraved in my brain.
You are no brother to me.
It's hopeless, I am nothing.
"Hans...?" I hear a familiar voice enter the dungeon. "Hans, is that really you?"
I look up to meet the worried face of Elizabeth, the servant who I've always viewed as a mother figure.
"Oh my goodness!" She shrieks. "You look week my boy, have they not fed you?" She rushed to my cell and kneels down to meet my level. I say nothing, I've already disappointed my brother, I can't have her hate me too.
"Hans... Hans, look at me, love." I can't. I refuse to because she will see what everyone else sees. A traitor.
"Listen, I don't know what happened but I only just discovered your return. I heard a few guards speaking with Augustus and they said they were keeping your arrival a secret from the kingdom. I didn't even know you left!"
I meet her eyes. "Wait... what?"
"Oh so now you look at me?" She rolls her eyes. "Yes! They are the only ones who know you are here in the dungeon... so would you mind explaining to me why you are here?!"
I'm shocked. I would have thought that my brother would have plastered my status all over the town, but to find out that not even all of the staff of the castle knew of my return, especially Elizabeth, is astonishing. But why? Is he protecting me?
"Um helloooooooooo..." I look to see Elizabeth looking at me, waiting for an explanation, "are we just gonna sit here and stare at each other all day or are you going to tell me what the hell is going on?"
"Okay..." I say, "I will tell you everything."
-ELSA
After the lighting ceremony, the doctor had arrived only to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with me. Huh. Although I was still worried about the unexplained occurrences, they assured me I had nothing to worry about, and that I was able to resume my duty as Queen. So I did exactly that. Anna was quite relieved that she no longer had to fill out paperwork and I was happy to finally fulfill my obligations. Olaf had insisted on helping me with my duties, but I was actually handling everything quite well.
My mind would still wander to the angelic voice I had heard a few nights ago, but I continued to brush it off, not wanting to worry Anna. She had decided to take a small trip with Kristoff to the North Mountian, so she would be gone for a few days. I was happy she could get a few days away from the palace, I know she always feels confounded in them.
"Your Majesty." I turn and smile.
"Kai, how are you doing today?"
He returns the smile, "I'm doing wonderful Your Majesty..." his eyes then shift to the floor. I can tell something is wrong.
"Kai?" I say worryingly. What now? Everything is fine... breathe Elsa, breathe.
"Well, Your Majesty, it seems that there is a trial being held and your presence is being requested for attendance." NO... it can't be.
"And what trial would that be?" I ask even though I know the answer.
"The trial for Prince Hans." He says finally.
