31. The Vanishing Point

''What is going on?'' Kara asked. They walked into Marley's house. ''There's no time'' Sara said. She already saw Thea. She was confused too. When Felicity didn't see Oliver she asked the same thing. ''We have to go to the Vanishing Point'' Barry said. They could already hear the Anti-Matter wave. It was close. Too close. It was close to Marley's house. Almost half of the earth was already destroyed. There was no more time. They didn't even know if Oliver was still alive. ''Cisco, open a breach'' Sara said. Cisco acted immediately and opened the breach to the Vanishing Point. The seven Paragons walked through first. They arrived safe at the vanishing point, waiting for their friends. But the breach closed. Nobody could come through now.

A minute later everyone was stressed out. The earth had to be destroyed by now. They were all dead. Earth-29 was the last earth to exsist. The multiverse died. Everyone felt like they couldn't breathe.

Nobody said a word. Reality needed to sink in. All their friends died. But this wasn't the time to think about it. They knew they could reverse it. They just needed to be strong enough to fight this battle.

There were only seven people left. Sara, Barry, J'onn, Kara, Marley, Thea and Clark.

''Where's Barry?'' Kara asked. Nobody knew. Where could he be? They hadn't seen him since they walked through Cisco's breach. Weeks, maybe months, had passed and there was no sign of him.

''Are you okay?'' Kara asked. Sara stared in front of her. ''I remember this place like it was yesterday when it was the last time I was here'' she said. ''Wait, you've been here before?'' Marley asked. ''This is the place where Leonard died'' Sara said. She didn't want to be back here. ''Is that why it is such a mess here?'' Kara asked. ''He blew this place up, but he had to stay here to make it happen. He saved us all. But I still wonder if it was worth it'' Sara said. She shook her head. ''I'm fine.'' There were other things to worry about than her past.

Suddenly they lightning. Everyone stepped aside and Barry ran with high speed against a wall. He groaned. The team hurried to him. ''Barry!'' Kara yelled worried. ''Where am I? Where am I?'' Barry asked confused. He was not okay, that was clear to the others. ''The Vanishing Point'' Kara said. Barry lay on the ground, looking around. ''You've been gone for months'' Marley said. ''What are you talking about? I just left two seconds ago'' Barry said as he tried to sit against the wall. ''To go where?'' Sara asked. ''To the Speedforce, but... I couldn't... It was like... It was like running into a mountain at Mach ten. I couldn't... There's no way out of here'' Barry said. He was out of breath and panting. Everyone just needed a break. No way out of here. It couldn't be true. They needed to go back, to where ever they could and save the ones that they had lost.

''Barry, wait. You are spent. You need to rest'' Kara said as Barry tried to stand up. ''No, I'm fine'' Barry said as he succeeded to stand up: ''I have to try again.''

''Okay, Barry, it's a bad idea, okay? The effort alone could kill you'' Sara said as she tried to stop him, but Barry wouldn't listen. ''It's better than just staying here'' he responded. ''We're not gonna let you kill yourself'' Thea said. But nobody could stop him. ''Get out of my way!'' Barry yelled angry and pushed Thea aside. ''Barry...'' J'onn yelled.

''We're not letting you go anywhere'' Sara said, again stopping him from doing something he'd regret. ''So try and stop me!'' Barry yelled. ''In the condition you're in, Barry, it's not gonna be that hard'' Sara said and pushed him back. ''Cut it out. Whatever's going to happen is not going to include us turning on each other'' Kara said. Barry sighed and nodded. So did Sara. They needed to be a team. ''Maybe you're right. Maybe the Speedforce is our last best hope'' Kara said.

''It is'' someone said behind them. Everyone turned around, seeing Oliver. But it wasn't Oliver. ''The Speedforce is the key to saving you'' he added, ''it's the key to saving everyone.''

Everyone was in shock. ''Oliver?'' Sara asked. ''Yes and no. It's complicated.''

''Oliver?'' Barry couldn't believe it. ''I am Oliver Queen. But I'm also something more.''

''More what?'' Barry asked. ''Some might call me a ghost. A Spectre that's in tune with the entire Multiverse.''

''So there's still a Multiverse out there?'' Marley asked. ''No, it's gone. Replaced with its antithesis.''

''An Anti-matter universe'' Kara said. ''Which we need to prevent from happening. Right now the Anti-Monitor is at the Dawn of Time, fighting to make permanent his destruction or worlds.''

''Then we go there and we end him'' Kara said. ''He's extremely powerful. The eight of us might not be enough. We need a back-up plan'' The Oliver Spectre said. ''You have our attention'' J'onn said. ''Several millennia ago, on a planet named Maltus, Mar Novu attempted to travel to the birth of the universe, but instead he opened a breachto the antimatter universe.''

''So the Monitor gave us the Anti-Monitor?'' Superman asked. ''Correct. So while some of us fight at the Dawn of Time, others must go to Maltus.''

''And prevent Novu from freeing his Doppelgänger? I'm in'' Kara said. Marley agreed. She was coming with her doppelgänger. Superman would come too. The others went to the Dawn of Time.

They all didn't want to face the truth, but deep down they knew. They knew their Oliver was dead. And it hurt them in every possible way.

''So, I'm kinda nervous'' Marley said. The Spectre had sent them to Maltus. ''This planet, it's.. different'' Clark said. ''I like it'' Kara said. They needed to find Mar Novu.
