"Seonghwa no," Chaerin said as she sat in front of her best friend at a small cafe

"Seonghwa no," Chaerin said as she sat in front of her best friend at a small cafe. "I don't want to kill him. Can I just have a break for once?"

The boy in front of her just glared.

He had been through so much stress that he had quietly changed from over the years. He was no longer the goof ball boy that was like her brother, he was more like a fucking mom.

And if Seonghwa was a mother, he had those mom instincts.

He knew something was up.

Something that had to do with recent events.

Like Yeosang entering the capital and being a dick.

At least he was possibly dead now.

There was Yunho. But he had been moved in with her brother for reasonable reasons.

Hongjoong.

That was a name Seonghwa hadn't heard in a while.

It was also a name he had wished to never hear again.

His old friend from childhood.

They were separated.

Seonghwa had hoped forever.

But no.

Definitely not.

Fate liked to fuck his life up. It had fucked everyone's life. That's why Seonghwa said no one died a virgin, life fucks you at some point.

So he decided to give Chaerin a surprise visit the next day.

Why not?

Chaerin didn't know until she had woken up to the sound of a rumble of an engine, and when she looked out her window, Seonghwa's car was pulling into her townhouse's driveway.

She panicked and started scrambling to get up and rush to Yeosang's room. She didn't worry about Hongjoong because he had gone to work along with San, to which Wooyoung had followed.

"Yeosang get up you ass," she yelled as she raced to his bed. "My boss' is here!"

Yeosang rolled over and squinted his eyes at her panicked figure.

"Seonghwa," she whisper yelled as the doorbell rung from downstairs. "He's here."

Yeosang bolted up and threw the covers off, grabbing a shirt and tugging it on as Chaerin ran to lock the bedroom door.

"How am I gonna get out," Yeosang said, for once panic clearly shown on his face.

"I texted Jongho," Chaerin said throwing a pair of pants at the boy who quickly pulled off his pajama bottoms to put the sweatpants on. "He's on his fastest way here, your going to have to jump out the window though."

"My what?!"

"Your window," Chaerin said grabbing Yeosang's arm and dragging him to the window and rushed to open it.

Yeosang quickly started helping as Seonghwa's voice boomed from downstairs, his feet showing he was making his way upstairs.

"Hurry," Chaerin rushed as the window fell open holding out her hands to give Yeosang a boost so he could jump out with ease. He gladly accepted and jumped out just as Seonghwa had made it to the top step.

Chaerin quickly poked out her head and saw Yeosang give her a thumbs up, Jongho running from the backyard towards the boy and pulling him away.

Chaerin smiled and closed the window, a knock on the door making her jump.

"Hey Rin Rin," Seonghwa's voice called, "I decided to come for a visit!"

"One moment," Chaerin yelled, rushing around the room shoving Yeosang's clothes into a drawer or closet, and ripping his bed sheets so the bed was semi-made.

When she finally opened the door Seonghwa raised an eyebrow, his face feigning a lack of suspicion, but it was clear he knew people were living here that weren't supposed to be.

"So who else is living with you," he asked as he pushed past Chaerin to look around the room, her face paling as she glanced at Mingi and Yunho who were holding hands at the top staring at her and Seonghwa in worry.

"No one important enough to be a threat," she said, the lie slipping through her gritted teeth as her boss poked around the room.

Seonghwa turned around and glanced at her, walked forward and made direct eye contact.

"You better not be lying," he said, "because if you are we might have a bigger issue than the lack of trust."

Seonghwa quickly wrapped his arms around the girls smaller frame and pressed her head into his chest.

"This is only because your my only family," he said, "I can't loose that too."

With that he pulled away and walked out of the townhouse, Chaerin standing still as Yunho raced to lock the front door, Mingi racing forward to check on his shocked sister.

"You good," he asked bending over the girl to feel her forehead.

"Yeah," she said slapping his hand away and walking towards the stairs. "I just might have to return a favor to Jongho."

"What do you mean by that?"

"He needs a home remember," she said pulling out her phone.

"Didn't you just nearly get screwed for letting too many people live with you," he asked.

"Yes," she said, "but one more couldn't hurt."
