The couple slept peacefully, the two having shifted over night to be embraced in each other's arms. Chaerin's forehead was pressed against Yeosang's, her arm extended so that Yeosang was laying on it.
Yeosang's arm was thrown over her waist, his leg over her leg, his other arms awkwardly in between the two.
It was quiet and serene until the door was flung open.
"Hey dumbass," Mingi yelled, Yeosang's eyes shooting open as he realized that he was not in his room.
"Chae-OH FUCK!"
Now Chaerin woke up, her eyes meeting Yeosang's panicked ones as he watched Mingi grab her and then separate the two with his body.
"Not in my Christian household," he muttered as he laid on his back and shifted so that neither had much space.
Chaerin rolled her eyes and got out of bed before looking down at her wrist.
Mingi looked at his sister, his face flashing through different emotions that reflected what was going on in his head.
"Chae I know about the secret team," he said sitting up, Yeosang pursing his lips as he realized what Mingi was rattling about.
"The what," Chaerin said turning around.
"The team," he repeated, "Jongho, you, Yeosang, and Seonghwa. You went to a business hoping to bring it down, but you also saw someone."
"How-"
"I kinda overheard you and Yeosang talking," he interrupted, "I threatened him and he trained me how to hack and that's how I brought down the cameras."
Chaerin gulped as she glanced at Yeosang who was on his side facing away from her.
"That girl," Mingi said, "is, well was, a lawyer. She was friends with Hongjoong and possibly more. Her name's Jinhye."
Yeosang snapped up.
"Full name?"
Mingi glanced at his panicked figure as he kicked the covers off and sprinted to Chaerin's desk.
"Hung Jinhye," he said, "wait why are you asking?"
"Ever wonder why I never took Chaerin's secret sector as a surprise," he said turning around as he got deeper into the files.
"Yeah actually," Chaerin started as she leaned over her boyfriend's shoulder.
"You didn't show too much initial shock, you just said okay and went on with it."
"Well part of it is because you knocked him out cold," Mingi mumbled.
Yeosang shrugged before looking down at his hands.
"There was a project," he said, "a small function when I just rose to power a couple years ago. It was the idea of having a singular person carrying out the deeds of protecting the government under no means."
"That's what the secret police sector is though," Chaerin said.
"Even the secret police is limited," Yeosang said wrapping his arm over the keyboard.
"They are in plain sight, they are known. They travel in packs and use force. The purpose of this singular figure was to be able to infiltrate people, businesses, law corps, Doctor units. To take them down in a night."
Chaerin seemed to understand the idea almost immediately.
"They were supposed to be like me," she said, "but on the side of the government."
"Exactly," Yeosang nodded as he pulled up a tab. "I thought I had them shut down the project though, but apparently not."
"Jinhye's the secret sector isn't she," Mingi said stepping closer to the duo. "She infiltrated Hongjoong's firm got close to him because of Jongho and sought to get rid of either him or Jongho."
"That's what I'm thinking."
Chaerin inhaled sharply as an old photo of Jinhye popped up on the screen.
"And they actually did," Chaerin said, "right under your nose."
Yeosang nodded.
"I think we should tell the others," he said turning to Chaerin.
"Like now."
And I oop-
