Mingi sat at the computer in Yeosang's office.
"Ok press this to get to the coding," Yeosang instructed as he pointed to three keys, Mingi following his instructions.
And just like that Mingi has reached a black screen, green writing covered the page.
"Right click to type," Yeosang said.
Yeosang had decided that Mingi's roll could be a hacker, his experience with technology slim. Yesterday Yeosang had decided to take him to meet a boy named Felix.
It had been hard to understand all of it, but Mingi was catching on. He could reach different websites hidden to the public, the coding and business side of different companies of people, and uncover passwords.
Yeosang clapped as Mingi started changing the sequencing to allow himself to take on the position of website editor. He could now go into the files of the company like the boss could or owner of the computer who had made it.
That was when Yeosang had directed him into hacking the Government.
"Yeo-"
"I know," he said, "but I think you should really just look into this stuff. I feel like this past week you've done well and a lot better than most. You have a natural talent for this."
"So what are you-"
"Mingi," Yeosang said, "I trust you. I'm saying that this... this right here, is a talent of yours. I'm saying I can't train you anymore. I'm saying you can figure out so much more hacking on your own now."
Mingi smiled, Yeosang's soft voice spitting kind words this time. He wasn't too bad Mingi had concluded. He was just shy. He was cold to protect himself, but also because that was how he was raised to be.
"But Mingi," Yeosang said looking down at the younger boy.
"There's some things you'll find that might surprise you. Please... please be careful and trust us. And..."
Yeosang looked at the computer before looking back down at the hacker sitting at the chair.
"I'm sorry."
With that the president left the room, Mingi only staring at the computer in confusion.
But the more he dug that day, he realized why.
At first he was angry.
But the more he thought, he was understanding and thankful.
Thankful he hadn't ended up like Yeosang.
