Running out of Time

"What are you doing?" I look up from my phone to see Kelley standing at the end of my bed staring me down arms crossed. "Uhh nothing?" I say more as a question not knowing where this is going.

"Exactly! Why are you here instead of with Tori? You do know she has to leave in a few days" Kelley says. I groan and throw my head back, "Don't remind me. Even after all of this I don't know where this leaves us". "Then TALK TO HER" Kelley shouts as she hits me with a pillow. "Ow Kelley stop with the pillow! And I've tried! Everytime I try to talk about about us something comes up and she has to leave" I defend myself.

Kelley sighs and sits down beside me looking at me, "Look all I'm saying is that everyone can see how happy you guys when you are together. And whether you like it or not, she has to go back to England once camp is over. But if you don't sort this out soon she'll be gone again and you'll regret not working it out".

I nod slowly at the Stanford grad, "Your right. I'll go talk to her now". "Theres no point now. Tori, Alex, Pinoe and I are going out to so a segment with Katie for her show. But I'll text you when we're on our way back and you can talk to her then" Kelley explains. I sigh and nod. "Well I'll see you later" Kelley says as she walks out the door. "Bye" I shout just before the door closes.

Deciding instead of sitting around waiting for Tori to come back, I'll go hang out with Lindsey and the others. I knock on her door to find Mal, "Oh hey? I thought you would be hanging out with Tori or something". I shake my head, "No she's out doing something with Kelley, Alex and Pinoe". She nods as she opens the door wider, "Well come on in. The rest of us are just sitting around talking". I walk in and flop on the bed beside Lindsey, "Hey Dasani". I smile back, "Hey Linessi what you up too?" She shrugs, "Nothing much trying to decide on what to do". "Wanna just walk around? Maybe go shopping?" Rose suggests still typing away on her phone. We all look at each other and Sam shrugs, "Beats sitting here doing nothing. Let's go".

We all grabbed our shoes and wallets before leaving the hotel. Rose googles the directions to the closest mall which was only a few minutes walk. After a lot of shopping we on the way back to the hotel which was proving difficult as every few minutes Rose stopped to pet a dog and strike up a conversation with the owner about said dog. "He's so cute!" Rose squeals as she crouches beside the dog petting his head, "what's his name?" The owner smiles down at her as he responds, "Zeus".

Lindsey and I laugh and shake out heads while Mal, Sam and Rose all fawn over Zeus while chatting to his owner. I shake my head as I can vaguely make out Rose talking about Wilma, "How long do you think it will take for her to show him picture's?" "Obviously not long" Lindsey laughs as she points to Rose who now has her phone out.

Our laughter was interrupted by my phone ringing. I rummage around in my pockets before pulling my phone out and answering it, "Hello?" "Sonnett! Thank god! Where are you right now?" Kelley shouts frantic down the phone. I wince as I pull my phone back from my ear slightly, "Jeez Kelley calm down. I'm out with the girls. Why is something wrong? Is Tori okay?" "Gee thanks for your concern, us three are alright" I can hear Pinoe snark meaning I'm on speaker. "That doesn't matter right now! Emily you have to get to the airport right now!" Kelley shouts again.

"What? Why? What's happening?" I ask not understanding anything that's happening. I can hear a sigh down the end of the phone, "Look Sonnett, Tori got a call. She has to fly back to England right now says it's urgent. She's on her way to the airport right now with Katie. They're already sending her luggage to meet her there" Alex explains. I freeze on the spot, "She's.... she's leaving?" "YES! Emily you got to there there now! She's already got a headstart and is in the way there. You got to catch her before she gets on that flight" Kelley exclaims. I'm already moving to the sidewalk trying to find a car, "What time is her flight?" panic starting to seep through.
