February 2017

Sarah entered rehearsal on a Thursday morning, her hair up in her classic ponytail and another band t-shirt on her body. There were already a few people setting up and she could see Harry talking to Jamie across the room.

She looked at the run sheet for the day to see what they were doing, they were perfecting Kiwi and Woman that day. Sarah kicked the bass drum few times just out of habit. It got Harry's attention however, letting him know she was here.

Sarah looked around for Mitch and spotted him by the snack table having a conversation with one of the other guitarists. She watched him for a moment before someone tapped on her snare drum, snapping her out of her trance.

"Oh, hey Harry." She smiled up at him. He was wearing a white t shirt with 'Hollywood sound' written on it, loosely tucked into some black trousers.

"Hey" he seemed nervous which confused her. Usually he was the most confident in rehearsals.

"How are you today?" She asked. Harry hadn't expected her to ask him that. He had been spiralling since the night he followed Rosalie to the club. What confused him the most was why he cared so much, he hardly knew her.

"Good. How are you?" He replied. Sarah squinted her eyes and chuckled at his expression.

"I'm fine." She answered but he lingered. "Are you sure you're okay?" She repeated, pulling his attention away from his own thoughts again.

"How well do you know Rosalie?" He wondered. Sarah had not expected for him to bring up Rosalie so she sat with a blank expression for a brief second while she wrapped her head around it.

"Relatively well." She answered, not sure where this conversation was going.

"Do you know if she has another job?" The question struck fear into Sarah. Surely Rosalie wouldn't tell him about the club would she? She hardly knew him. The hesitation from Sarah gave him his answer but he waited nonetheless.

"What, like not at the bar?" She tried to buy herself some time to weigh up her options. If she lied to Harry, he might find out the truth but if she told him then that's betraying Rosalie's trust. Fucks sake.

"No, somewhere else." He chewed his lip, a horrible habit of his that he could never catch himself doing in time.

"Why?" She wondered, knowing that Harry probably already knew her answer by now without her even saying anything. He crafted his next answer carefully so he didn't give away how much of a stalker he had been.

"She just always hurries off after her shift at the bar." He decided on. Sarah squinted her eyes suspiciously.

"To get home." She pointed out. Harry nodded as if he already knew that.

"But no one needs to get home that quickly." He knew making assumptions was only going to get himself proven wrong but he had to since Rosalie wasn't filling in any of the blanks herself.

"How well do you know her?" Sarah questioned him. That got him because of course he didn't know her at all. His silence made Sarah pity him for a second. She hadn't known him that long but she knew he was a nice lad. "Are you interested in her?" She asked him bluntly. Harry didn't know how to answer that one.

"I'm...not sure." Sarah nodded in response, holding her hands up briefly.

"I'm all for it but she's a complicated person and likes to keep to herself which I'm sure you'll find out." She warned. Harry brought his hand to his mouth to show he was thinking. Sarah was just glad she had swerved the conversation from her other job.
