June 2017

"So there's two bedrooms, a bathroom, a study, living room and kitchen." The landlord explained. Rosalie walked around the flat with a careful eye.

The kitchen and living room were one room as a lot of London flats were. The two bedrooms were the same size and the study was slightly smaller. The bathroom was actually quite big for a flat which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a tiny flat but it was a roof over their heads and that's all they cared about.

"We could turn the study into a third bedroom." She said to Nick, who was watching her carefully. "For Lola, when she gets back" he nodded as she gave him some context.

"Yeah, definitely." He agreed, not knowing a lot about this Lola character but if she was friends with Rosalie who appeared to be friends with no one, she had to be something.

"What's the rent?" She asked the landlord.

"£1200 a month." She answered. Rosalie looked at Nick who gave her an 'I know right' look. Although, splitting it between them would be £600 a month which seemed obtainable and when Lola was better it would be £400 which sounded better.

"Okay. Let's do it" she breathed, a massive weight being lifted off her shoulders. Nick put his arm around Rosalie and gave her as quick squeeze.

"Great." The landlord smiled and they got to signing the lease.

As Rosalie was walking to the tube station with Nick, her phone started to ring. It was Sarah.

"Hey" she answered cheerfully.

"Hey, is there anyway you could meet me quickly. I need someone to talk to." Her voice was distressed which made a change to their dynamic.

Rosalie looked at the time, she was planning on heading straight to Harry's since she was going for dinner with him and his mum that evening and wanted to spend some time with him beforehand. She couldn't say no to Sarah though, not when she had been there for her in her time of need so many times.

"Uh, yeah of course. Where?" She answered. Nick raised his eyebrows as if to ask if everything was okay and she just nodded.

"Mine?" They agreed and Rosalie had to quickly change her plans in her head to make sure she still got to dinner on time.

Hey, change of plan. Sarah needs me quickly so I'll meet you at the restaurant? - R

That's fine, is everything okay? Do I need to call Mitch? - H

I'll let you know, I'm on my way to hers now - R

Okay. Did you get the flat? - H

Sure did. Will tell you everything at dinner x - R

Rosalie knocked on Sarah's door and it opened immediately. There were boxes everywhere as she was planning to move in a few weeks to a house she had just bought. Sarah looked dishevelled to say the least.

"Are you okay?" Rosalie asked, stepping over a box to get to her. She had never seen Sarah stressed like this before, she was always the calm one.

"Mitch told me he loved me, which wouldn't be a scary thing to me normally but it's Mitch." She blurted suddenly.

Rosalie's eyes widened, that would stun her as well if it was Harry had told her that so she understood but it didn't make a lot of sense in Sarah's case as she was much older than her so surely she would take this as a good thing.

"Okay. Did you say it back?" She asked. Rosalie had never been in love before, she didn't know how these things worked. All her boyfriends had been pricks, never loved anything about her and she knew it.
