March 2017

Harry stood behind the microphone at the next rehearsal, hands on his hips and head low. He wasn't feeling it today and people were starting to notice. They took a break and Harry walked to the back of the rehearsal room, pulling himself up onto a stool and drinking his water.

He didn't understand why Rosalie rejecting him once again had hit him so hard. His ego wasn't that fragile was it? Besides, he hardly knew her. Maybe it was her denial to allow him to get to know her. All he knew was he was feeling frustrated.

"Harry?" Sarah's voice snapped him out of his thought. "Are you okay?" The rest of the band had sent her over to see if he was ok. After many mini arguments, she had agreed.

"I was actually going to talk to you." He looked up at her, scaring her slightly. She had never seen him look so down before.

"Oh yeah? What about?" Harry took in a deep breath and sighed. He looked around the room

"I asked Rosalie out on a date." He confessed. Sarah definitely hadn't expected that, she stared at him in surprise.

"What did she say?" Knowing it can't be good but Harry didn't know Rosalie, she didn't always say what she means and Sarah wanted him to know that.

"No" Sarah wasn't surprised, Harry was extremely attractive and a lovely person which would terrify Rosalie.

"She must like you then." Sarah informed him. It confused him, why didn't he understand her? She watched the confusion crawl up on his face. "I've seen countless men ask her out at the bar." Harry pulled a face, wondering why she was telling him that. "If she didn't like them, she said yes and then never turned up." His eyes widened.

"That's fucked up" he commented, reevaluating whether he knew this girl at all.

"She said no to you which means she doesn't hate you." Sarah said as if that was going to make a difference. Harry shook his head. "I told you she's complicated but she's also really young. You can't really blame her for not knowing how to treat people yet." Harry always forgot that Sarah was almost ten years older than him.

"Kindness might be a start." He muttered, Sarah sighed and nodded.

"I'm sorry she said no." She put her hand on his shoulder and watched him nod.

"It's fine, everyone gets rejected once in a while right?" He put on a smile that she appreciated before wrapping his arm around her shoulder and leading her to the table where everyone was eating.

"You alright?" Mitch asked quietly to which Harry nodded.

"Just a bruised ego." He laughed. Mitch guessed who had bruised his ego and patted him on the back in sympathy.

Harry was in a better mood after lunch, able to listen and communicate with the others. His voice was noticeably passionate and strong that day. Everyone was relieved that he was back to his cheeky self, most assuming he just needed to be fed and get some coffee.

"Okay lets go." He said into the microphone, swinging his head side to side as if he was stretching. "Let's do only angel"

"Open up your eyes, shut your mouth and see
That I'm still the only one who's been in love with me
I'll guess I'll be getting you stuck in between my teeth
And there's nothing I can do about it
Broke a finger knocking on your bedroom door
I got splinters in my knuckles crawling across the floor
Couldn't take you home to mother in a skirt that short
But I think that's what I like about it"

Again, he found the words changing meaning to what he had originally intended them to be. He kept shaking his head as if to shake out any thoughts in his head that weren't about the song he was singing.
